"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty, and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming---*WOW-What a ride*!"

Astro, every time I read your signature, I like it more. The message is so clear that we should enjoy this life, this go round on this rock. . My mom used to try to stop us from eating "good food", saying that she was "saving it". We always asked her what she was saving it for?? We'd get her to see that we, her family, were special enough to warrant her best food.

I am so grateful to Astro for his wonderful signature that always makes me smile and always makes me think.

Hmmm . . . . I missed my bedtime gratitude last night

Yesterday I was grateful for a busy day that helped with my bad mood. Resident teenager needed his computer brought in (I guess I'm a helicopter neighbor - ah well), took aging neighbors to eye doctor appointment, canceled my snow tire appointment (tires went missing - I'm so so bummed about this), finished up my ballot, dragged 16 year old to ballot box to drop it off and made her look at the folks voting in the polling place, went to Gym with resident teenagers and bought a 20 punch pass.

It was such a good day. I love when I can be involved with my community and neighbors.

Astro, we seem to be in a rhythm of posting twice and then the next on of us posts . . . actually anything semi-predictable is nice now and then.

Today I got all of my "To Do" list done which is nice. Lots of little mundane tasks.

Also had an opportunity to pick teenager up at high school. They got out early. I had him drive up one of our mountain valleys. This valley ends at some of the most beautiful mountains in the world. So many tourists go that the road is usually only open to busses. As it is off season, it is possible to It is only a 20 minute drive from his high school but he had never been. I enjoyed his appreciation and took some pictures. Grateful for this moment.

I'll do my best to keep up my rhythm BKA! I do enjoy hearing about your adventures with the teenagers in your community, it warms my soul that they look up to you in confidence when they're in need of help, a ride, advice, or a conversation.

Grateful for our youth. Maybe that's because my own two are being so disrespectful towards me as well as their stepmother and stepsister. Sigh.
Grateful that this is the last of my evening shifts watching trailers parked on a side street, it's a little boring and monotonous.
Grateful that I have two Elton John concerts to work this weekend.
Grateful to spend some time chatting with a coworker last night and getting to know a little more about him.
