Good evening all.

I had a busy day which I really need every now and then. I went for a bike ride with a friend, took neighbors to a doctors appointment and participated in my zoom centering prayer group.

The best was while waiting for neighbor to get out of his doctor appointment, I unwrapped and played a cd of my aunt singing. On the way home I played it for my neighbor and he loved it. The music is traditional Spanish songs with jazz elements. I'm not much of a music person so sharing it with my neighbor was fun.

So for these things I am grateful.

Good evening all.

I'm grateful for
- driving with the teenager and getting to talk a bit
- getting a second coat of stain on the outdoor stairs (quick work and it looks good)
- the task of cutting down the plantsin the garden - I find the foliage still beautiful with its green, red and yellow

Good night all.

Grateful for a good deal on some chicken, and some sales at the grocery store. Man oh man is it ever expensive to shop for groceries nowadays.
Grateful for the rare weekend nights when I'm not working, it's nice to be home with my wife and the pup.
Grateful for early morning wake-ups from Bear, this dog may not let me sleep much on the weekends but he sure is energetic and entertaining.

Hello all,

I'm grateful for
- managing to keep busy all day
-successfully cleaning up a spot on the rug - it only took a few minutes and came out beautifully
- Lawrence Olivier on Youtube acting the opening to Richard III

We really do live in a time of such wealth of information, entertainment and media. I know there is many a down side however there sure are amazing opportunities. Today's snow storm made me think of the opening line of R. III, "Now is the winter of our discontent turned glorious summer by this sun of York.". Lawrence Oliver does the monologue so beautifully. Wow.

Peace and courage all.

Today I am grateful for a warm, safe home.
Grateful that I have a good job.
Grateful that I haven’t gone insane from alcohol use; that my mind becomes clearer with each week or month of abstinence.

G’night all.

BKA, back when I lived in NYC I used to throw a "winter of discontent" party every year around this time as a way to say goodbye to my friends until the spring! I tend to hermit in the winter.
I hope the snowstorm is gentle on you!

I had an extremely difficult week and I am so grateful to have made it through sober. Actually, I'm grateful that I want tempted to drink at all. I still have one major stressor left to work out this week but I am desperately trying to remember what I can and can't control (easier said than done for me...I love control). Grateful to have prioritized rest this weekend. Grateful for pbs shows - I like the current mysteries - magpie murders and miss scarlet. Have a good week, all!

Grateful that we only have to take life one day at a time, because we certainly get some curveballs thrown our way once in awhile.
Grateful for a wonderful brunch with daughter and her fiance, delicious chilaquiles and all the fixin's.
Grateful for a surprise sleet/snowstorm in Flagstaff, and for our short hike along Dogtown Lake.
Grateful to have gotten home safe from my road trip, the traffic was nuts.

Oh wow Autumn. A Winter of Discontent party sounds great. I'm always struggling to get through my own Winters of Discontent. I really prefer the Glorious Summers. Sigh. No surprise there.

Well I'm off to do 5 - 10 minutes of yoga and to sew a bit on some facemasks I'm making. All my cloth face masks have gone missing so I'm making some new ones. They might not be as good as medical masks but they are more comfortable so I am more likely to wear them.

Well it is afternoon and I'm sitting in the train station waiting for a late train so I will do a 2:26 pm bedtime grat

I'm grateful for
- being all packed up pretty early
- the kind El Salvadorian woman who helped me figure out buying a bus pass
- the patient bus drivers who helped my switch buses to get to the station
- a bit of a brisk walk on the platform to get a bit of exercise before the train comes (got another 1500 steps in)
- my renter giving me a ride part way

May all be well with all of you.
