Grateful for the opportunity to dog sit this weekend; would not be happening if I were still drinking!

That is great Purple. I'm dog sitting for a golden retriever right now. The best part of my day was taking the dog to my Dad's facility and watching all the old people light up and want to pet her.

MY stint ends tomorrow but it has been lovely being able to do this for the last few weeks.

Grateful for a nice patio concert at church last night, and a great chat with the worship pastor.
Grateful to come home and play some scale practices on the guitar, and to be able to recognize my playing progress over a couple years. I may not play good, but I'm better than I used to be
Grateful for a few hours at home this morning before another weekend of work.

Good morning and another bedtime/morning gratitude

I'm grateful for
- someone bringing the dog back when she wandered off - irk
- a nice "cocktail hour" with my brother's MIL - wine for her and N/A beer for me
- cherry tart for dinner

I'm off to find more things for which to be grateful.

Well, a bit of a big day in that a good friend died this morning. This might be a bit odd to put on a gratitude list but she had been ill for such a long time. That she lived so long is amazing. She lived an wonderful life of joy, married a great man who took care of her throughout her illness of almost twenty years. I and the community have helped to take care of them as they have no family and we all knew that they were human treasures.

I am so so deeply grateful to have known this woman and her husband for some 55 years.

BKA, prayers to you and your friend's husband, and all who knew her, but grateful for such a legacy in the way that her life will be shared about.

Grateful for an early release from work yesterday, it was nice to come home, prepare for some upcoming adventures, and eat a nice meal.
Grateful for a freezer and fridge full of food as Mrs. will be traveling on business this week so the dog and I are bacheloring it.
Grateful that after I drop my wife off at the airport today I'm taking a quick road trip north to do some fishing with a friend.

BKA, lots of love to you following the death of a friend. I understand how sometimes you can be grateful when someone who's been sick a very long time passes. May her memory be for a blessing.

I'm on vacation in Bonaire and profoundly grateful for my time here. Grateful for incredible snorkeling and all of the gorgeous fish, turtles, rays and coral I've seen. Grateful for easy going, fun friends to travel with. Grateful for sunscreen. Grateful to get through a nasty night bunch of jellyfish, stung but ok in the long-run. Bad things can happen, they don't have to ruin the next day. Grateful to be enjoying every minute of it sober with my virgin Pina coladas. Grateful that my little dog is doing ok in my absence.

Thanks all for your kindness.

I came back home today and saw my friend's husband. He is doing well all things considered.

Today I'm grateful for
- the friends who stopped by after I got home
- a safe drive home
- my renters organizing the cars once I got home - they just take my keys and put cars where they need to be
-my lovely cleaner coming and getting the house cleaned up

Peace to you all.

From a dark and stormy night.

I'm grateful for
- completing two large adulting tasks
-getting in 45 minutes of yoga
- snow shoveling - gets me out and it is a bit of exercise
- whittling away at that darned pile of papers that seem to follow all humans around.

May you all be warm and sheltered tonight.

Grateful for the lesson I had at the Warhammer store yesterday (which left me more confused than ever about how to play the game ) and even more grateful for the small pile of books I sit down with every night which helps me understand this hobby a little bit further.
Grateful for the trout dinners I've been eating this week while wife is away on business (she's not a fan) and last night I made trout cakes which were really yummy!

Grateful for an excellent Big Book meeting, for being asked to read How It Works, for the shares from the old-timers, and for the newcomers who help keep me sober.
Grateful to be WFH today, getting light chores done and preparing for our weekend road trip.
I received some very hurtful text messages from my daughter yesterday, and I'm grateful to have a program of recovery that shows me how to not volunteer and engage and to remember that I am not a victim, I can detach with love and let her find her way as an adult.

Grateful for a yummy dinner of oven tender baby back ribs, homemade pickled veggies & jalapenos, and roasted Yukon gold potatoes.
Grateful my wife is home, it's been too quiet around here.
Grateful for reading material, oh how I love reading books and I sleep much better when I've spent some time reading before bedtime.

Astro thanks for your posts about rolling with the good and the bad.

I'm grateful for
- seeing a friend who I work with to get good things done in the community
-getting in 30 minutes of yoga
- an audiobook that someone recommended and was available at my library
-the young man who offered his seat to me on the bus
-our public transportation system and that so many use it.

Well I'm off to make my bed, build a fire and drag a hose inside.

Tonight I'm grateful for
- a warm day which made topping up the hot tub relatively fun (dragging hoses through snow is usually miserable)
- puttanesca sauce and a cherry pie I made today
-shoe horning in 15 min of yoga waiting for the pie to bake

Peace.
