pain got so bad today i went to the ER. All they did is make me wait in a waiting room, then wait in the hall of the ER. Waited some more and finally saw the doctor. He gave me two pills in the hospital and a scrip for norco, which does not seem to be helping very much. the pain comes in waves, it comes and then recedes for a while. altho i love going to bed to snuggle with my beagirl, i am afraid of going to bed cause getting out of bed in the morning is so painful.

however, i am very very grateful to my daughter mk for coming down to take care of things, take me to do errands, and take care of Billie and my strays. she is a dear soul and i am so proud of her. She sure helped me today.

I'm grateful to some lovely work on the front deck removing lose nails and replacing with screws. Also a good solid rainstorm this evening and getting some work done on the dress.

Also I'm grateful for the gratitude list as it really helps me remember that I did accomplish somethings today.

grateful for my brother coming by today to take care of billie and my strays. he said hell come by tomorrow after church. grateful for family, friends, and good neighbors.

- the soft soil from the rain yesterday so it was easy to pull weeds
- successfully getting a new 4x4 post put in to the corner of the deck to stabilize the railing
-laughing with my sister as she uses her chop saw to cut fire wood and I use a chainsaw for carpentry - hey it works

grateful also for my neighbor coming over and taking billie out to pee. grateful to live in such a good neighborhood and hoping my landlord works out a way to let me stay here.

grateful that billie has been, and is being, very good the last few days when ive been unable to do much. shes been really calm and cooperates with the 'strangers' who are taking her out for potty. thats a big thing to me, knowing she'll do her business for others in case i cant take her out.

grateful that the pain comes and goes so i have some respite in between the awful parts.

grateful to all of you here, my SR family who are so important to me.

Tonight I'm grateful for lots of contact with friends and family. It was a solitary day but enlivened by a family zoom get-together and lots of phone calls.

Grateful for my trip to Flagstaff, for dinner of delicious Indian food with daughter and her BF, for our clothes shopping trip to celebrate her birthday, and for our road trip today to the Grand Canyon where we did lots of walking and visited my favorite place there, Hermits Rest.

Ah Astro, the Grand Canyon is an amazing place. Lovely.

I'm grateful for having a lovely evening planting perennials. They go on sale this time of year. I planted them along with 20 orange tulips. It was lovely with all the still gold aspens.

My cold is on the mend.

Grateful my wife brought home leftovers from her dinner with friends, they've made good meals the last few days.
Grateful I can return to work today with a clear schedule, took a little time last night to get caught up.
Left arm still in a lot of pain but grateful it's slowly getting better.
