Grateful to read an article in the NYT this morning about "languishing" ... explains some of what I've been feeling in this pandemic and had some helpful remedies.
Grateful for a very long walk on a new path near the ocean yesterday ... always good for my spirits.
Grateful our kids are back in town and I can see grandbaby later today.
Grateful for the Anna's Hummingbird who visited this morning.

Grateful to stop in quick to say Hi before it gets to be bedtime
Turps, grateful you mentioned that article and I will definitely check it out
Grateful to check perfection at the door, including the state of my marriage
Grateful to remember all the good qualities Mr F possesses and not just the bad stuff
Grateful to get through another module in my work course
Grateful sonny boy has decided he wants to learn Russian in addition to German. Maybe this is sparked by recently rewatching the last season of Stranger Things. Not sure but it is cool. He seems to have a knack for languages and music like my mother did as well as two of her brothers who spoke three languages fluently and played piano and guitar too. My granddad played violin
Grateful to have an appt with my derm today
Grateful for a soft breeze in 73 degree weather

Grateful, too, that Tursiops mentioned that article. It came across my FB feed and I skipped over it but then in the middle of the night was thinking, hmm, I should have read that article. I bet it could explain some of how I feel.
Grateful to try and take inspiration from Fearless and PS on room redecorating and item refinishing. I stink at all things house decoration related. I can’t even hang a picture right so usually anything I try to do ends up in my feeling frustrated and dejected. Or, I have to spend time and money to try and find a handy person to come do it and that is exhausting in its own way. hmmm I think this was more of a complaint than a grat but I do sincerely feel grateful there are people in the world who can do these things.
Grateful for good sleep.
Grateful for Daisy and all she is doing for her family.
Grateful for CK’s cartoon.
Grateful for all of you.

Lol, CK
Numblady, I get a lot of inspiration from Pinterest, Houzz, and plain ol google images. Plus I am fortunate my husband is handy. But I know what you mean. We’ve had to hire a handyman for some things too. I hate spending money on that.
Grateful sonny boy got invited to the beach with his friend this weekend
Grateful to have one meeting today and it’s a fun kind of meeting
Grateful my work has a lot of rewarding parts

Grateful to be going to the eye doctor today. I am getting new glasses, which I desperately need. I wish I could wear contacts, but any little thing in my eye bothers me a lot. New glasses are so expensive, my mom generously offered to pay for them for me. The ones I have now are so old I can't see out of them very well.
CBS, good luck with the PAWS. I suffer/have suffered from that too and it can be just awful. Sending a prayer your way.
Daisy prayers for you and Mandy, my dear friend. Thinking of you and hope all is well.
Love and peace to all. Have a wonderful day.

Yes Least, that is the one! I found it helpful, because this year has been such a strange experience. I know my circumstances in this pandemic have been nowhere near as bad as others, and I am so grateful for my many blessings. It doesn't feel right to complain. And yet ... I often feel kind of "meh" or "blah" these days. The article offered me a new perspective on that and some helpful actions to take.
Grateful for restful sleep.
Grateful to see grandbaby yesterday and again today.
Grateful my work is easing.
Grateful for this beautiful sunshine.

Turs - I missed that article - glad you brought it up, will read it in a bit.
Aly - I get so confused picking out new frames. I don't like the shape of the ones I picked out a couple months ago - not flattering. I did get transition lenses this time & love them. Hope you love your new ones. (I can't tolerate contacts either.)
Grateful to all who post!
Grateful our snow tomorrow won't amount to much. I hope this can be the end of it.
Grateful to straighten out some misunderstandings.
Grateful for another day of being clear headed & responsible.

Grateful for the discussion on home decor and design. I'm defeinitely obsessed, and as Fearless said there is so much inspiration and advice on Houzz, Instagram, and Pinterest. Houzz has an awesome section called "Design Dilemmas" where you post photos of your projects and pros and amateurs weigh in with advice - so fun! Of course, I'm VERY prone to analysis paralysis so I have a lot of lovely things propped up against walls or languishing in closets because I can't decide how it should come together.
Grateful for coffee.
Grateful for two pretty good meetings yesterday.
Grateful for quiet mornings and telework.
Grateful that I'm finally scheduled for my first shot of the vaccine.
Grateful that both of my kids have seemed more motivated to study lately. Last marking period of a challenging academic year!
Grateful to be a little more motivated to lose weight lately.
Very grateful to be sober.
