Numblady, I guess that is true for me about life in general. Anytime there is an end to anything, and a new beginning I am both sad and excited. I think change is a form of loss. The loss of what we know, the loss of our routine, etc. But I am grateful for the new beginnings and opportunities that loss and change bring 😊 So true about needing to be kind and nonjudgmental to ourselves before we can be kind to others.
By the way, the Mindful Selfcompassion workbook by Kristen Neff is so good.
Grateful to put some things in perspective
Grateful to put in the effort
Grateful to be patient
Grateful for what I have, where I have been lucky and where I have worked to get what I have

Grateful it's a little cooler today, although they say 13K acres have burned so far this year compared to 2K at this time last year. There was a fire not too far from here yesterday. Grateful for our Cal firefighters and the measures people go to to help with the drought.
Grateful for a trip to a new doctor this afternoon. I'm surprisingly anxious about it, but I'm sure it will go well.
Grateful for all my friends and insights on this wonderful thread.
Have a great day and love and peace to all! 💚💙💜💛🧡

Numb - Acting like everything is fine - my specialty. Not healthy, for sure.
Dev - Cleaning windows - a thankless task. I'm not very good at it.
CBS - Grateful for your 140 days - that's wonderful.
Grateful to have a busy day - in which I will remain sober, awake, and aware.
Love to all.

Grateful that Fearless mentioned the mindfulnesss workbook. Grateful I resisted hopping onto Amazon and ordering it right away, as I already have a little stack of book and workbooks that remain unopened.
Grateful for NL's wisdom about not going out of our way to placate people who don't do what they need to do.
Grateful for coffee.
Grateful my husband took our son to his early SAT session, and I could sleep.
Grateful the scale is inching downward again. Grateful to finally recognize that I seem to have seasonal patterns of weight gain and loss.
Grateful for the coffee meeting I had yesterday, and that it was on the deck of someone's lake house. I feel like I have a new and trusted connection with this person.
Grateful to feel energized and challenged at work - mostly grateful.
Grateful to be planning family time for Mother's Day, but also grateful that I'm being careful not to drain myself too much.
Incredibly grateful to be sober.

You’re welcome, free!
Palmer, a coffee meeting at a lake house deck sounds wonderful
Aly, stay safe. I know what you mean. We have our scheduled annual family fire preparedness meeting tomorrow night. We started this after Tubbs fire year 😞
Grateful least is giving back. Such a good feeling to help out where we can
Grateful my boss is letting me write an article on alcohol, sobriety and wellness for our blog. I am excited
Grateful to be sitting by the warm fire with coffee and Mr F. Grateful big boy Charlie is curled up between us
Grateful to get a video appt with sonny boys doctor this morning to look at his infected ingrown toe nail.
Grateful we are still planning to meet friends at beach after that
