Happy New Year to all!

Welcome Jillga, glad you joined us!

Grateful our friends and my stepdaughter joined us for Chinese take-out and lots of good conversation last night. They left by 9:00 and the old folks (that would be my wife and I) were passed out to the sound of fireworks by 10:30. Zzzzzzz......
Grateful for a day off work....to work on the house. Gotta dig up an underground leak in the front yard and repair it.

Glad you got good news from your doctor LPG.

Grateful for a sober, drama free new years day.
Grateful to sort out my bedding box at last, I've been threatening it for 3 weeks.
Grateful that the doors are locked, the blinds are closed and the house is warm.
Grateful for a relaxing bath.
Grateful to be well.
Grateful Mr D trimmed my fringe ( bangs) without making a mess of it.
Grateful for all of you.

I hope you got your leak sorted Astro x

Grateful for a productive day. I didn't get this much done in a week as a drunk... compared to what got done today sober. I'm beat!
Grateful I am able to salvage some hobbies I used to enjoy.
Grateful for the rainy day... kept plenty busy indoors.
Grateful for coffee. I'm still pounding the decaf well after dinner!

Grateful to wake up sober this morning. Grateful to go for a run in the beautiful rain and then spend a very lazy day on the couch. Grateful for my neighbor bringing me a bagel with labneh and a loaf of challah... We're starting the new year off with carbs. My favorite.
happy new year to you all!

Happy to read this, I know how good that feels!

Daisy, I did get the leak fixed, thank you! I'm grateful to have that out of my way for now.

Grateful I get a break from working football games after this weekend, the income has been great but the 3:00 AM wake-up is wearing on me.
Grateful that I got some other light chores done yesterday and my wife was able to work on her crafts.

Never looked at it that way before!

Grateful for another two days vacation.
Grateful for the winter weather... provided I don't have to drive in it. Gives me a reason to browse my seed catalogs.

Grateful to be going to bed sober again.
Grateful to post here before I fall asleep.
Grateful to take the festive bedding off the beds today and put fresh bedding on.
Grateful to put some household stuff that I no longer want on a free site for anyone who wants them.
Grateful that I didn't need to leave the house today, I'm fast becoming a hermit, lol.
Grateful that my little cat is sat on the arm of the chair by me and is sucking the sleeve on my dressing gown.
Grateful to get an Indian takeout delivered for dinner this evening and grateful that it wasn't expensive.
Grateful to be here with you all. xxx

Grateful that my vet gives a free nail trim to their clients on their birth month. Billie needs her nails trimmed.

Happy 7th day of Christmas . . . . I hope none of you were gifted 7 Swans a Swimming . . . .it sounds like quite an inconvenient gift.

Today grateful for
- a message from a former SR poster who had dropped out
- my Dad's joy in reading my sister's Christmas card
-getting a check off to the bank

Peace to all this winter night.

Grateful that after my shift today I can just rest and recuperate, it's been a long weekend of work but we'll be able to pay off some debt from it.
Grateful for a simple breakfast and delicious coffee before I leave for work.
Grateful for fun and friendliness on the job. In the midst of a pandemic we can be kind to each other and form new relationships.
