Grateful for everyone who posts on this thread.

Wishing you all love, peace, health and happiness this Christmas.

Keep safe. xx

Good Christmas Eve to you all.

Tonight I'm grateful for

- a fabulously fun dream last night
- warm enough weather for an outdoor masked visit with my brother
-spending the day cleaning up for Christmas day - I kept thinking of how Jews prepare for Sabbath
-my now clean house
-the effort the staff takes to make things fun around here
-listening to my hometown's production of Handel's Messiah on youtube with my Dad (made him listen to the very end)
-Decorating the Christmas tree tonight.

Funny you should ask, she just left our house, we exchanged Christmas gifts tonight and oh my heck she and her brother split the cost of a new guitar for me, I swear I'm in shock at their generosity, so humbling! She has been feeling fine and wobbly 'lil Keva is just an absolute doll. Aly, I hope your family holiday gatherings are peaceful and go well, please come here for support if need be

BKA- I get it. I would get grouchy with my late father when he'd end up in the ER or a rehab center after a fall or injury. All about me, right? I'm glad we can laugh at our own behavior and bad tempers. Lol

Fearless- I'm sure your eulogy will be perfectly beautiful, please travel safely to TX.

Least - Hooray for being stocked up on cat food, I know how good that feels!

I'm grateful I was able to work a 1/2 day in our camper, caught a couple nice trout yesterday, it's been a whirlwind of a couple days and I'm just glad we're home tying up some loose ends before Christmas day.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you, and welcome to the new folks that have joined us on this thread!

Grateful for the members of my local AA fellowship who told me in 2005 that I would never experience loneliness or feel sorrow around the holidays if I stuck with my program of recovery. I can still say they were right, I'm grateful to be surrounded by those I love on this day.

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!
Thank you so, Astro. I hope your family had a wonderful time.
BKA, sorry for all the stuff with your father. I sometimes find myself getting short with my mom when her brain is not thinking logically, but she thinks it is. I feel badly and try to have more patience, but I can understand. Sounds like you do a lovely job looking after him.
Fearless, you will give your father a wonderful eulogy. I just feel it. I know you will do him justice and he will be proud. I so appreciate you, my sista.
Our lobster benedict brunch got put off until Sunday, I think. My sister wasn't feeling well. Hope she gets better quickly and doesn't have anything more than maybe a bug (other than Covid!). It was ok by me. Spacing these family visits out is probably a better idea than not!
Merry Christmas to those who celebrate and Peace on Earth for everyone! Grateful for each and every one of you!!

Grateful to be sober tonight.
Grateful that Christmas day is done and dusted.
Grateful to visit my wayward son this morning for a short while and grateful to leave before he caused an argument.
Grateful to be able to bite more tongue more often these days.
Grateful for the serenity prayer.
Grateful for the lovely gifts I received.
Grateful for the food on my table.
Grateful to be here with you all.

Astro, how kind of your daughter and her brother to buy you a new guitar, they must think a lot of you. xx

Hi Daisy ! I'm sorta glad to put Christmas Day behind me too, we all had a wonderful holiday but it is time to move on and head into the next year.

Grateful I work a few more football games and then I head into the great unknown as far as the next side work, God will provide when it's time and my wife and I are provided for wonderfully anyway. I am sure feeling blessed after the holidays.

Fearless, just wanted to say I'm thinking of you as you head out of town for your dad's memorial. I'm sure your love for him will be felt. Take care of yourself, take breaks, be well!

Thanks all! I read here last night but was too tired to post. I was half way finished and I just drifted off before I could post. Anyway, just dropping by for a quick hello. Grateful we made it here with a mostly uneventful flight and found a nice place to eat dinner before checking into our hotel. Grateful the weather is super nice here with mid 70”s predicted for tomorrow. We are planning a day at the Riverwalk before meeting one of my Dads friends tomorrow night.
Grateful to see all of you and for all your wonderful posts

It's a good day to smoke some meats and fish and do a few light chores. My daughter is stopping by for our yearly tamale lunch before she heads back to Flagstaff. I'm so grateful for these things!
