Daisy, my stepdaughter is in the same situation, in her 20's and taking care of 3. She has her down moments, but much of the time she is a fiercely determined single mom. I'm grateful these women have people like you and I to lift them out and support them with love and care.

Fearless, sometimes I just make a big pot of pasta with veggies and a protein, then divide it up and freeze it. Easy for me to throw in my lunchbox in the morning.

Aly, I have two more shows to manage before I step down, the last one will be Ringo Starr so I'll go out with a bang. Lol. I'm hoping to lead more by example, I want to be a Guest Services Representative again so I can spend more time smiling and making the guests feel welcome rather than supervising an unruly staff.

I'm so grateful for all of you and the life I have, not a dull moment!

Grateful that my birthday was spent sober, like every other day. No drama, just peace and quiet.

Happy Birthday least!!!
Grateful my volunteer shift went well at ARF's thrift store and I bought another watch.
Grateful for the coolish weather we had the last few days, but it's going back to being very hot again. It will probably stay that way well into Sept.
Grateful for all of you ♥♥♥
Peace and love to anyone struggling or suffering tonight in anyway. ♥♥♥

Thank you Fearless, yes it's very young and unfortunately I cannot see her partner shaping up, she's 21, he's 37 going on 17. I hope your nausea has passed lovely, look after yourself.

Thank you Astro for sharing that about your step daughter, she sounds like a good mum, good luck to her.

Thank you for your kind words Aly.

Grateful to be going to bed sober again.
Grateful for a quiet day.
Grateful to get some housework done.
Grateful to be tired through being productive, that's a good kind of tired to be.
Grateful for a phone call from my daughter while she is on holiday, grateful she and her family are having a good time.
Grateful Fearless has 2 free games of golf to look forward to.
Grateful for my gots, as per Rusty.
Grateful for Aly's prayers, thank you so much Aly.
Grateful for people like Aly who volunteer at thrift shops.
Grateful Least had a drama free birthday, that's just the way I like mine too.
Grateful to be here with you all. xx

Daisy, the situation with your step g daughter and her husband not treating her well while she is going through this horror. I am praying for you and you step g daughter. I hope she is getting better. I'm sure that her husband not helping or supporting her has got to be a huge bummer. Love and prayers for both of you. ♥♥♥
Love and prayers to all of you too!

I am grateful for my gots too, and for Rusty and his sayings
Grateful pondlady was able to pay for the school fees
Least, hope you had an amazing birthday! I think my favorite bday so far was the year I turned 50. It was my first sober bday since I was 16 I think. I did absolutely nothing and wanted it that way. Nothing but peace, solitude and quiet
Astro, the veggie and protein pasta idea is going on my list
Daisy, continued positive vibes for your step g.daughter

Well, the nausea has not passed but I’m grateful it’s not worse. Grateful for the nice and helpful lady at pharmaca who gave me some advice including getting my hormone levels checked, certain natural supplements and seeing a naturopathic specialist. I saw one a few years ago who moved, so the lady gave me a recommendation. I can’t go on HRT (not that i want to anyway) because of a blood clotting disorder. So I’m grateful there’s other options.
Grateful that even though things won’t be perfect, by staying healthy and exercising, I can minimize my symptoms.
Grateful to keep things in perspective and focus on the positives
Grateful my boss refused to talk to me today about a work matter because I should be enjoying my vacation
Grateful to sit outside with my husband and enjoy a coffee this afternoon after it cooled down a little
Grateful for the unconditional love of my cat kids
Grateful sonny boy starts school tomorrow and he let me buy him a new pair of shoes so he doesn’t have to wear the holey worn out ones and make me look bad. Lol
So grateful for all of you!

Yayyyy! I get my orthotics today so I'm having a foot gratitude day!

Least, a belated Happy Birthday to you!

I may limp often, but I'm grateful to be able to get around and stay active and I'm grateful to finally get my custom insoles today to help with my flat feet.

Fearless, so sorry to hear you weren't feeling well. Hope you are better today. That is such an unpleasant feeling, nausea. ♥
Astro, so exciting to get your orthotics. The good ones feel like a dream. ♥
Grateful Luke is getting his flu booster today with my mom. Grateful I have a class at ARF from 5-7. I'll have to leave around 4:15p to get there by 5. It's funny because it's so close but the traffic will be badly at that time. I'm excited to start on my dog handling classes. I'm going to get a lot of good training myself for dog handling, etc.
Grateful for all of you and peace and love to anyone struggling or suffering tonight.

Thank you Aly, Anna my step g.daughter is on the mend slowly but surely. She is a strong, brave girl and copes very well considering how young she is.

Thank you for the positive vibes Fearless, they are very much welcomed. I'm sorry that you are still feeling nauseous and hope that you get some relief very soon. I hope Sonny boys first day back at school tomorrow goes smoothly, you're very honoured to be allowed to buy him new shoes.

I seem to have missed your post yesterday Pondlady, those kiddo's are so lucky to have you.

Enjoy your dog handling classes Aly.

Grateful to be ending today sober, that will never change.
Grateful to have a bit of a de-clutter in the kitchen, where does it all come from?
Grateful to discover now with a couple of weeks before he goes back to school, that my g.son's feet have grown and the shoes he got just before school finished for summer are too small. I shall gift them to a charity shop as he's barely worn them.
Grateful to have all his new items of uniform apart from shoes bought.
Grateful my little Lulu cat is in a cuddly mood.
Grateful to love and be loved.
Grateful for food in my cupboards and running water.
Grateful to have a comfy bed to sleep in.
Grateful I am not materialistic.
Grateful for Least and Billie.
Grateful Astro got her comfort insoles, I hope they help, let me know as I have flat feet too xx
Grateful Fearless's boss refused to talk work with her today.
Grateful to be here on this journey with all of you.

Auster, I love almonds too
Astro, so glad you are getting your orthotics. Comfy shoes make a big difference!
Least, Billie is a lucky girl to have you.
Aly, enjoy your class
Daisy, I’m also grateful I’m not materialistic. Or at least much less than I used to be Grateful for all the money this saves me.

Grateful I felt better today
Grateful for a nap this afternoon
Grateful for a slightly different hair cut and to get my color touched up
Grateful my husband took big boy, Charlie cat to get his shots. Now two of the cats are current. But Charlie now has the same ear infection Daisy had, so that was an unexpected expense. Grateful we can cover it
Grateful sonny boy had a good first day. He asked that after today, we no longer wait for him outside the class at pick up time. He’ll meet me at the car. He said I should appreciate this since I won’t have to sit with the other moms and get drawn in to mom drama . He pretended to be a group of moms, talking in high pitched voices saying “OMG, did you hear Jonny got sent to the principal for saying the F word?” “Yeah, his mom is a total train wreck and the parents are getting divorced. Like OMG!” It made me laugh!

Grateful for friends and family, including my critter family.

Grateful to have this forum to express my gratitude for all my blessings. Gratitude really changed my life for the better. I don't remember who it was who suggested I start practicing gratitude to make my recovery stronger. It sure did.

Grateful I found gratitude too, like least.
Daisy I’m pleased your g.daughter is on the mend.
Aly how exciting to be having dog training. I’m sure you and Luke will benefit from it, my friend has been on behavioural training with her young doggie, it’s been very rewarding.

Fearless, I love your son’s sense of humour.

Grateful for all of you.
Fell asleep early so didn’t get to post but wanted to stop by and say hi
