Those mountains are magnificent, MesaMan.
Grateful today for my sobriety in general. It's pretty amazing to again be sober throughout the mixed bag of emotions that characterize the holidays. I'm thankful to keep things relatively even keel.

Merry Christmas to all of you bonus sober children/grandchildren and your gorgeous partners today.
I just got a kiss from my gorgeous partner as she requested that I wear my Mr. Rodgers sweater today.
We will be surrounded by family and friends all of whom love to hug and kiss and laugh and eat good food.
My wife has made her famous chocolate yule log cake.
We are watching the last episode of Broadchurch this morning which was filmed in Dorset which I am sure you know HL.

If we are here, they are here
I have experienced the passing of many loved ones during the 83 years of my human experience. I think of the love we shared and still share as their spiritual beings remind me from time to time.
I pray that you feel the love of your Dad's spiritual being today, and enjoy the reward of being his son.

Grateful for all the posts here. Particularly grateful for grtgrandpa's- so grateful to be an honorary grandkid! Grateful to be sober. So grateful for how simple things are in sobriety. No bottles and cans to worry about, no worrying that people might smell my pot smoke, no worrying about how I can obtain alcohol and drugs.
Grateful for how delicious my coffee tastes this morning. Grateful for the knowledge that even if I'm feeling grumpy, or lazy- I can reset my day anytime. I can turn it around.
Grateful for acceptance of my problem. I don't question it. I'm totally accepting that I am an alcoholic. I can't change it. All I need to do is not drink and work a program and it's all good and I'm free. I am grateful for this awareness. I am grateful to go to meetings and here my story over and over again.
Grateful for the love and support of my family. Grateful for all my second chances. Grateful for everyone here, in this community, and grateful for the opportunity to post here.
Much love everybody. Have a beautiful sober day.

I am grateful for Coffee and another gift for today. I may not be doing well financially or with love but I refuse to feel down. I will put a smile on my face and I will go out and put a smile on other people's faces today.
