Grateful for a good conversation with my father today. For my family. For perspective. For a new year and a new start. Grateful to be sober. Grateful to be in a much better place than I was a year ago, because of my sobriety.
Aside from the boiler (sorry, Free ) I am grateful to be meeting a good friend today for lunch and a girlie chat.
Grateful, too, like Gramps, for starting the day with my partner. So very, very grateful to have him in my life (that's my partner, not Gramps, but, of course, I'm very grateful for Gramps as well!)
HL, I sure am glad that you clarified that (not gramps) comment. I thought I was being drummed out of SR when the only requirement is a desire not to drink alcohol. Whew!
Grateful that I can still come back.

Grateful that I don't have to drive out to Wal-Mart this morning to buy a replacement roasting pan--turns out I found a whole stash of foil ones in a cabinet! Grateful to have all three of my sons here for a turkey dinner (my one son wasn't able to enjoy either Thanksgiving or Christmas--he works in retail! )
