Herd Mentality

Grateful to have re-hung and secured our Automated Gate yesterday ahead of changing Weather. Rough conditions out here take their toll on all things Mechanical. The Gate now opens smoothly. Life is good again.-)

Grateful to have a met a local Sheriff Deputy at the Dog Park yesterday w/o fuming Vodka all over him. Sober is good. And, our Dogs played well together. His Pooch is a recent Rescue that is enjoying his new 'Forever Home'.

Grateful to have watched this lil Herd get to within ~30' of the House. Our Pooch stays riveted while looking out this tall Window at 'Jane Doe'.

Congratulations GentleSoul!

Grateful for the transformation that led me to organize a dinner party in honor of a friend, without making it all about me, and without a drink.
Grateful to J who helped me find a restaurant, and the restaurant staff, for excellent food and service.
Grateful to my husband for being there when I got home.
Grateful to have had all the wee hours of the night to count people's drinks in my head, obsess, be tempted, play the tape, and conclude that it's infinitely better to stay sober.

Grateful for Mesaman's stunning photography

Grateful that although we had a deer in our garden yesterday, he hadn't managed to defeat our new deer-proof fence and didn't eat any precious plants!

Grateful for a busy but very festive Saturday in the shop

Grateful to be curled up on the sofa watching A Christmas Carol yet again - it never gets old

Well, I'm kinda bummed to hear about 'Platypus Dental Picks'. They seem like harmless lil Creatures; too nice to be endangered by making them into Dental Picks.

To conform to Thread Etiquette, I guess I'm grateful I'm not a Platypus.

MesaMan that picture amazes me! I've never seen anything like it in RL.

Grateful Mr Jennie is starting to recover.
Grateful that Jennie is not putting platypi between her teeth. A platypus doesn't have teeth itself but it does have a nasty venom.
Grateful that sobriety is full of smiles -- and platypi!

Their little fingernails might work as toothpicks, don't you think, Marcher?

Grateful that I am married to an amazing woman who is a gourmet cook.

We no longer serve alcohol in our home, so if you are invited to our house for a meal comparable to that served in the best restaurants in the world there will be no alcohol.

Grateful that everyone still wants to be invited.
