Grateful - incredibly grateful - for antibiotics. That little man with the hammer who was living in the sinuses on the right side of my face has already moved out!

Grateful for hair colour. At the age of 54, I've finally succumbed to dyeing grey hairs rather than extinguishing them!

Grateful for music and its power to uplift

we change, things get different

Headlump, I was your age when I stopped drinking which is why I am grateful to still be here with all of you young folks at about one month shy of 83 waiting for a pacemaker.

I am even more grateful to belong to an incredible worthwhile and valuable and loving group of people in recovery who really care if I get a pacemaker.

As I write this my wife is in the Doctor's office rattling his cage to speed up the process. The rewards of recovery.

I woke up sober. Even though I was exhausted and not ready to tackle my Monday, I felt good to have the clear head and energy to get my day started.

Still being grateful for rest.
Grateful for all my working organs, limbs, and senses, especially the ones that don't work as well as they used to, may they last as long as grtgrandpa's and may his last many more years!

Grateful for GentleSoul's post about morning hugs! Hugs to you!

Grateful that grtgrandpa is here with us and yes, can get a pacemaker. (My grandpa had one too).

Grateful to be reading this thread and we are all grateful for so many things today and every day on our sober journeys.

And grateful for SLEEP! Finally last night I got 6 hours and feel pretty good today.

Grateful that I'm complaining of feeling boring rather than being a little too "lively."

Grateful for SR and all the wisdom and encouragement I always find here. I've been away for a couple of weeks, didn't realize how much I'd miss this place.

Grateful my DD has completed her 3mo treatment program & I'm going to see her today for the first time since June. I've missed her so much, but I realize these 3mo have also been very healing for me. I've started to rediscover myself & who I am apart from being her mother.

Grateful my son & I have gotten lots of work done around the house these last couple of weeks (cleaning, painting, getting the yard spruced up, etc). Had a realtor come by a few days ago, seems very promising to put our house up for sale. Doesn't feel quite so overwhelming a task as it was in the beginning.

Grateful that I am another day sober. (Day 9 for me and looking forward to double digits tomorrow).

Grateful for sleep still. Ahhhhhhhhhhh, sleep!

Grateful I am considering making chocolate chip cookies this afternoon and I can do it with a clear, sober head.

Grateful I am on this journey with so many caring folks here at SR!

Had to add this one at the last minute: Grateful to hear the birds singing out my window this morning. What a nice sound.

Grateful for an appointment with the doctor this afternoon.
Grateful my ophthalmologist told me yesterday that I looked 10 years less than my age.
Grateful for these quiet mornings with no regrets and no hangovers.
