Grateful for the opportunity to catch up with an old friend today.

Grateful to be sitting by a warm wood burner, even though it's still technically summer.

Grateful that dinner is cooking, and we'll be eating soon, I'm hungry!

Grateful to be home, sober, and somewhat content with life. Still grieving over my grandma.

Thank you everyone for the prayers and love here. I appreciate all of you.

I'm also grateful to celebrate my youngest niece's 3rd birthday today. It was sad not to see my grandma there but I know she was there in spirit.

Grateful for my youngest nephew coming today and doing a lot of things that are easy for him to do and hard for me, (like moving heavy furniture, breaking down boxes, trimming high branches, etc.)

Grateful we've always had a special bond since he was born, and now he's 17 already!
Grateful he may go to college nearby.
Grateful he likes sushi so we could go out to have some when all was done.

Grateful my sister stayed with my Dad this weekend. I have been feeling like I haven't been doing my part with helping my Dad, and I live closer to him then they do.

Grateful today is my daughter's 32nd birthday and she is having a relaxing fun day with her family.

Grateful for human connections.

Grateful for getting to review GISHWHES items for their Hall of Fame/coffee table book. The submissions I have seen are wonderful. It's so hard to pick the best, but it's a lot of fun. (See gishwhes.com for examples)

And grateful that a client who's been in the teen substance abuse program where I volunteer is finally getting to go home. This has been supposed to happen for months (or several weeks at least) and I am happy for her.

Love and hugs,
Eddie

Grateful to finish the work week of 7 days in a row (m-sun) and 64 hours. Then they asked me if I could start at 5 am tomorrow instead of 6 am. While nodding my head in a "no" fashion, I politely said, "sure I'll come in at 5 am."

I was pretty much wiped out by the time I got home and wasn't able to visit my mother like I always do once a week in her assisted living home.

But grateful I'm not only clean and sober, but also reliable to my employer.

Grateful to also remember that recovery is an inside job, and if I don't keep my self together with recovery tools, then nothing else is possible.

Grateful to use my recovery tools by checking in with you guys.

Grateful to have fixed the leaky bath tap, it was a much easier job than I was expecting.

Grateful for a lovely lazy day, and a bonus early night.

Grateful for the motivation to do some piano practice today, hope it lasts and I can see some improvement soon.

Grateful when I woke up this morning, laying in bed I asked myself to set an intention for my day. I set the intention to maintain serenity and not be governed by external stress. It was helpful during the many times at work I felt myself getting derailed.

Grateful for raw juice of beet, kale, watermelon, celery and fennel. Lol. Getting adventurous.

Grateful for silly TV tonight.

Ah, kale, the obsession of Gishers (GISHWHES.com) all over the world! How was it? I bet it'd be better with black pepper and cinnamon. Kale earrings

Grateful for a wonderful first session with my new bhakti yoga teacher. We had a lot to talk about and I think I have a new friend!

And grateful for Supernatural Season 5. It's almost as good as Buffy now. Did I just say that out loud? teehee.

Grateful to be in bed ( well on the sofa where I sleep...its a comfy sofa), done with the day, sober.
Grateful I live and work on a safe, beautiful place.
Grateful for food in the fridge.
Grateful to be in a awesome, stable relationship, with a super supportive, decent guy. Grateful for how proud of me he is. He's a very inspiring person, with a super positive attitude and strong spiritual backbone.
Grateful for two! Yoga classes this evening, first a yoga basics class, followers by a restorative class. So grateful this is how I'm spending my nights, instead of getting drunk and high. Honestly it's a miracle.

Grateful
For the wind caressing my skin at sunrise.
For where I am at right now.
For equanimity.

For this thread.

Grateful for the generosity of others when I'm being overly gracious and humble. I need to be more assertive.
