Grateful my step grandaughter is now a freshmman in college, albeit six hours from home. Such an emotional time for everyone. It was also a close call qualifying, so grateful she squeezed in. Although she is nervous she has so much going for her. Praying she makes good decisions as it has been a rocky few years. Praying she knows I am here for her.

Grateful to take big breaths and be patient with myself. I am having a hard time completing tasks at home. Grateful to try to push through lethargy sometimes, and rest other times. But not enough pushing I fear..

Grateful for two meditation sessions today. Need to tame the gerbil wheel in my mind.

Grateful for getting back to my monthly kirtan that I missed in July.

And grateful for thinking to add emptying the Trash on my laptop at the end of the day to my bedtime gratitude/10th Step ritual. Very cleansing.

Uncle Holmes--letting our kids go off to school is hard. I thought I would die when my first left. I could never take her to the airport.

Tell your wife all three of mine have gone and come home with degrees. I'm not a pro about alcohol recovery, but about this I can say it does get better.

I'm grateful for 2/3 of the weekend over and still being sober.

I'm grateful that I had my wits about me to help my daughter pick a puppy for her kids this afternoon.

I'm grateful that I finished a top for my grand girl.

Finally grateful that I attended a monthly quilting group without being hungover today...a fairly unusual occurrence.

Goodnight SR.

Grateful for the rain that poured down on the roof all last night and today. If you are an Aussie you will know what I mean and if you aren't but you're here on SR, you'll probably understand too.

Grateful for delicious ripe melon that we had after tea this evening.

Grateful to be able to watch the sun go down as I read in my little study room.

Grateful no one got seriously hurt in the horrible accident in front of me driving home tonight on route one. The car in front of me spun out of control, (when the car in front of him swerved.) That one in front of me spun around a few times and hit the other car in front of me in the next lane. I stopped and am grateful those people are ok and all their airbags worked.

Grateful my sister enjoyed her party. Grateful I didn't drink.

Grateful to see my Dad... but he isn't doing too well. Have to keep an eye on him. Grateful to live an hour closer than I did.

Grateful for love and caring given and recieved.

Grateful a fairly long visit with a difficult friend went well. I stayed nice and successfully bit my tongue quite a bit. Now I have to let the swelling subside....teehee.

And grateful for David Tennant's Companion's unexpected eulogy for Robin Williams that she stuck on the end of yesterday's Doctor Who episode, even though, of course, it made me cry.

Grateful that even though I've been dealing with anxiety this evening, I'm managing. Hoping it subsides soon.

Grateful for an easy day and just trying to relax watching football.

Have a nice evening.

Grateful for a good phone conversation with my mother today.
Grateful for a really really good yoga class today. Grateful to be learning new things, and focusing on my breath and movement quiets te negativity and worry for a bit. Grateful for the teachers inspiring example.
Grateful for the meeting I just went to. I didn't make my regular am meeting but I said a goal to go every day this month, so im glad there's a Sunday night option here. A night meeting was nice for a change. Different people and a whole different vibe.
Grateful I have the oppurtunity to work tomorrow and earn a little cash.
Grateful for distraction...I was a little upset with my SO earlier, for stupid selfish reasons and was paper to call him and guilt-trip...bumped into some body and got into a conversation, and the urge to be petulant passed...I am grateful he is in my life, he has a heart of gold and inspires me to be the best woman I can be ...glad I was distracted out of being bratty and had some time to think before calling him.

Grateful to get in touch with spirituality this morning when I read the twenty four hour book and read the part that said, To be doomed to an alcoholic death or to live on a spiritual basis are not always easy alternatives to face. But we have to face the fact that we must find a spiritual basis of life-or else.

I went to my Sunday morning meeting to top it off.

Grateful for a 10 minute jog and stretching session I had yesterday to clear out the cobwebs in my head that lead up to this spiritual moment I was having this morning.

Grateful to later get out and see the movie Ninja turtles. Last week it was Into the storm. The weeks before it was Guardians of the galaxy and Lucy the week before that.

I try and go out to see a movie every weekend, even if it's by myself and I really don't feel like going. It seems to force my mind to think and experience different angles of life and opens my imagination.

Grateful that what I think is pancreatitis is feeling a little better.

Grateful that I made it through a completely gripping soccer game (Portland Thorns) without a beer!

Grateful to have the house full of healthy food and heading into a good, healthy week.

Grateful, of course, for SR.
