Grateful for the joy & laughter that Robin Williams brought to so many during his much too short time here. Haven't thought about him recently until hearing the shocking news this morning. I clearly remember one of the 1st dates I had with DH was going to see "Good Morning Vietnam". My DH loved him as well.
Grateful I made myself get out this weekend to a couple of meetup events. Had a great time, realized I was being way too much of a hermit, working as many shifts as I can. I was letting the stress of preparing to move get to me, realized life can't be all about work and no fun.
Grateful I got up the courage to ask my BIL for help in fixing some plumbing issues in my house. So incredibly wonderful to have a kitchen faucet that's doesn't drip anymore, toilets that work properly.

Grateful for the talent of Robin Williams, a true genius. Makes me more amazed that God has given me the opportunity to be sober. This tragedy has shaken me more than I can put into words. May he Rest In Peace and know how much he was loved.
Grateful to realise that there is always hope and always someone willing to listen if we would only reach out.
Grateful that we humans have the capacity for love and compassion, and many strive to make that the cornerstone of their lives.
Grateful for all of the love and compassion here on SR.

Grateful to have made it to a meeting this morning. It went well. Grateful to have learned some valuable things to put into practice. Grateful to remember that integrity and human compassion are essential to my recovery regardless of how other people may choose to behave.
Grateful for all of you!
Grateful for all of you!
Grateful last night, to tell AV to sod off and go back to what I was doing, then realise half an hour later how simple that was.
Grateful for my jeans reminding me when I have overindulged in icecream.
Grateful to be open to what's next.

Grateful that when I can't sleep that I get out of bed and come here and tell you that when you are sober at age 82 that's what you can do.
Grateful that the quality of my problems is quite high or maybe even astronomical.
Grateful that when I get sleepy I can go back to bed 24/7 cause I am retired.

Grateful for so many insights on SR.
Grateful for the fellowship with my bible group last night, we're a mixed bunch, all trying to live the best way we can.
Grateful that my energy levels seem to be improving.
I got drunk we stay sober
Grateful to recognize that we teach each other when we see ourselves in one another.
I had a big problem with a newcomer in my meeting yesterday. His first time, and I've been there 28 years. He was the age of my grandson. He took exception to my share in his share, and it ruined my day.
My elder statesman status went out the window. I told my wife what the newcomer said, and she said, "sounds like you."
What??????? Then I suddenly realized again and again and again in my recovery that I don't like alcoholics who exhibit my shortcomings.
Grateful that I can still learn, because I do not expect to ever be recovered, but will always be in recovery.
