Grateful for a visit with Dad at the nursing home. Even though his memory is shot and I'm frustrated with the repetitive conversations, I'm grateful he's alive and being well cared for.

Grateful for not living in cold areas this am! I'm a wimp!
Grateful that I am able to participate soberly in the upcoming celebrations, with no interest in drinking.
Grateful I found out we are having a New Year's Eve party here at my Senior Complex! bday5
Grateful that my granddaughter has had a wonderful celebration(s) of her 13th birthday and I was able to be there.

Is it wrong to be curious about what you might have asked him for while you were at it?

Lia, GArcia on Criminal Minds referred to Lady Gaga as "the OTHER Lady G," but Gaga is definitely THE original!

Grateful I finally called one of my oldest program friends whom I'd been meaning to call for over a year. I was calling her for support and I ended up helping her as well. Amazing how these things happen. I was crying when she told me she appreciated what I shared because several people in my life don't seem to want what I have and it's hard to see them suffer.

Grateful for Klaus "helping" me take a nap. I rarely nap, but I needed it, and I couldn't get up 'cause he was snuggled up in front of me. Thanks, Klaus!

Love and hugs,
Eddie

Sure does! And looks like a big boy too, Cuds helped me take a nap this afternoon!

Grateful always for my cat, and my houseplants.

Grateful to go to bed sober.

Grateful dealing with depression and not blaming myself or others.

OOOH!! More fluffy kitteh pics!!! Tell us about Klaus on the cat thread when you get a chance Eddie!

Today was a very rough day. I was faced with a craving challenge that very nearly consumed me but I managed to work my way through it. I didn't crack and I didn't collapse. I will make it to day 13 tomorrow.

Tonight I am grateful for the strength I found, all the wonderful people I know here at SR and for the spirituality awakening in me. I've never had time for this due to the pills. Now I have the attention to turn to getting to know myself WITHOUT the narcotics.

I wish everyone the best of evenings.

LiaAc: good job getting through. I've had some thoughts lately so I feel for ya.

Eddie that is one glam looking cat. So pretty.

Rusty: now you can go on a band tour. You have health insurance and can quit your day job.

Grateful I found a store in my wee town that has all artisan hand made items from all over the country. I got to buy a lot of my gifts there. Grateful right next door was a Natural and Organic food store which was awesome.

Grateful my dog is still responding to my calm assertive demeanor. His jumping and barking are quickly extinguished now by me turning away and giving him no eye contact. He calms right down. And he has no more rash and no more sores on his feet. Yay!

Grateful to keep trying to be a grownup even when no one is looking.

Grateful for the chuckle Uncle Holmes gave me. I understood every word in that sentence but not those words put together in that way, I was wondering if Uncle Holmes was on a diet on dewy mountain rocks, then I remembered mountain dew is a drink. Forgive me Unc, I'm an Aussie!

Grateful for our laffs amongst the serious stuff.
Grateful for the value we all place on our sobriety.
Grateful for the cool change on a hot night.
