Grateful for a good session with my therapist today during which we both marveled at how DIFFERENT (in a good way) I am from how I was when we started meeting 3 years ago.
And very grateful for the vast IMPROVEMENT we were marveling at. Glad I am NOT that scared, resentful, judgmental, controlling, etc. person that I was!

Grateful to have made good choices tonight
Grateful for my kids (who are growing up too quickly)
Grateful to have a good chance at not waking up hungover and in a mental/physical fog

Grateful that I paused before going out earlier this evening and thought about the time ahead.

Grateful for the 5:30 meeting yesterday, it was a good end to a rough day.
Grateful I can drive down and visit my son tomorrow. Check out his dorm, go to lunch, and take him grocery shopping.

Grateful for the patience to wait & gather information before making decisions. Glad I am learning not to judge prematurely. I may have to tell some people they can't go on the sea kayak camping trip I'm organizing, but I want to be sure I'm not excluding anybody unfairly.
Also grateful for the "training" paddle we had today in preparation for the actual trip in September. The weather was great and the group promises to be a fun one.

Grateful for the help of my sister and BIL today in packing. It still seems neverending but I was encouraged by their help and advice. And was so much less lonely.
Grateful for my lovely stepdaughter who turned 31 today. I love her as my own and I am so proud of her and of the life she is creating.
Grateful my dog has stopped chewing his foot and the medicine seems to be working. He is so anxious with all the activity and packing boxes everywhere and suitcases being packed. I keep reassuring him he is coming with me! Lol
Grateful I am not chewing on MY foot, yet.

Grateful for the 3 hour nap I took on Saturday after work to catch up on some much needed lack of sleep.
Grateful for the cool dark basement where I keep my bed at to make sleep easier.
Grateful for new earplugs to block out noise to help me sleep.
Grateful for the fan that I use to help me sleep. That type of noise seems to help me sleep. But I turn it the other way so it doesn't blow directly on me.
Grateful for the Ambien that I take most nights to help me sleep. I only take it if I have to work the next day and stick to a low 5 mg dose.
Grateful I crawled on the floor and acted and meowed like my cat.
Then I crawled on the floor to the fridge to get a snack.
Then I crawled into bed to go to sleep.
Oh heavens. I'm seeing a pattern here.
