Hmmm.... After another sleepless night(totally because of codependent pets), I'm digging deep here.....
I'm grateful that in a few hours I will have a nice meal that I am not cooking...and HOPEFULLY a short nap.
I'm grateful that I have learned to function on minimal sleep, and that I won't die from a lack it

Grateful to watch Meet The Press while I drink my dark roast coffee, eat a banana and have a few pieces of chocolate.
Grateful for beginning to get the big picture more routinely. I am learning to take part of the day and do things that help tomorrow go better. Am understanding that the choices I make and the things I do today directly affect how tomorrow goes. When I drank everyday was the same and I did not think I was someone who would live very long so I never acted for the future. I had nothing to look forward to as a result.
Grateful to live for today, and hope for tomorrow and leave the past where it belongs.... in my former life!

Grateful to wake up and see snow flakes. Big fat soft ones.
Grateful to have usfull legs to get me to the store today.
Grateful for dreams of things I never imaged possible..
Grateful just for today and keeping the peace within....
Grateful for my hubby working today.... and not causing trouble within family..
Grateful for God and trusting in his peace...

Grateful for a monday holiday, dentist and house stuff. Time for me.
Grateful for a 2nd night of solid 8hours of sleep. (When i was drinking i was lucky to get 4 hours)
Sleeping never gets old, its probably a big factor that keeps me sober.
Grateful to make a big batch of *GRAVY* and meatballs for the week. Using chicken sausage and ground turkey, no salt. Fresh tomatoes.
I stopped cooking when i was drinking, it took too much concentration.

Grateful not to have to drive to work this morning in the snow.
Grateful for a good nights sleep.
Grateful for a warm house and warm clothes.
Grateful for my health
Grateful for today and all that it offers

Grateful for a good night's sleep, and the memory of an all day fire in our family room fireplace yesterday.
Grateful my daughter has good insurance, that is allowing her time to care for herself.
Grateful I have all the ingredients to make some homemade soup tonight.

Grateful since many people have off, my drive to work should be traffic free.
Grateful for an amazing process of inauguration. The renewal of power.
Grateful for being comfortable in my own skin.

Grateful my son is okay, for some reason he went camping last night with buddies and the temps dipped down to single digit, soo grateful he is back home this morning....So grateful for my snuggle partner, my dog
Today I am grateful for this saying that appeared this morning on a listserv. I think it speaks so well to those of us who are still struggling with our demons and who need the support of others who care for us.
Those who love you are not fooled
by mistakes you have made
or dark images you hold about yourself.
They remember your beauty when you feel ugly;
your wholeness when you are broken;
your innocence when you feel guilty;
and your purpose when you are confused.
