A Peaceful feeling inside
The occasions when somebody else says I helped them

Today I am grateful for
the free art show- and the great efforts that people produced
that I can recognise my emotional state much better
that I get paid for the work that I do
that I got some things done that had been hanging over me

Today I am grateful
- to find I am in the healthy weight range
- my local sushi bar
- the local fruit shop and the mandarins they sell
- that the bank is handy to where I work
- my local library and the helpful staff
- my local post office and the girls who are always helpful

Today I am grateful for waking up today fresh after a 9 mile walk yesterday with my teenage daughter to Hampton court palace and back ! I was up early this morning at 6am reading papers with coffee....years ago this kind of stuff was unheard of for me, wow is this what life is really like? Yes please !

The mornings for me are a big change. I am sleeping very well and I feel great when I get up. It is delightful to sit at the kitchen table reading the morning paper, and browsing the the internet with a fresh cup of coffee.

Today I am grateful for the respect, compassion and love that I could see in my (now ex) boyfriend's eyes as I told him that I don't feel authentic within myself, my actions and that my conscience was struggling with the fact that I didn't feel I could be truly available to him at this stage in my recovery, so I had to break it off with him.
I am grateful for the fact that we are able to remain friends and he has said that he wants to continue to support me in my journey. Even his *family* said the same!
I was expecting anger, resentment, hurt and hate-all the emotions that I am so used to projecting myself.
I am grateful that this weight has been lifted off my shoulders and that I haven't had to drink over it.
