Grateful to have today to play catch up on several days of lost sleep.

Today I'm grateful to have my laptop and movies. Even more special, my mind and heart have been so far from materialistic thoughts this is something special, not something I obsessed over when I didn't have them.

In case I haven't mentioned it lately, recovery rocks.

2) Hearing the wonderful speaker from San Francisco tonight
3) Attending Church services with a father and daughter for Father's Day
4) The cool evening breeze after a hot day

1) I am grateful that my Dodgers are in first place in the National League West
2) I am grateful I found time for my prayers
3) I am grateful that I was able to eat seven pieces of pizza and a full salad for lunch as I need to gain weight.
4) I am grateful for YouTube and being able to listen to music through my computer
5) I am grateful for being able to work on my boundaries.

1) Having my own pillows tonight
2) knowing I'll be able to get up early tomorrow
3) a good doctor's appointment
4) gaining much needed weight
5) Being able to snug into bed as I don't feel well

I need to keep these written down. I see them throughout the day but get lazy about actually writing them down.

1 I'm grateful to be free to live life. Free from my addicted family member, free from the hold alcohol and drugs had on me.

2 I'm grateful to pray every morning. Whether it is the third step prayer, or that plus my religious morning prayer I'm grateful to be on my knees communicating with God so early in my day.

3 I'm grateful that my roommate goes to so many meetings. That gets me to one every day.

4 I'm grateful for my friends upcoming birthday. I love celebrating the birthdays of my friends in the fellowship. It reminds me the program works if I work it.

5 I'm simply grateful to wake up to such a beautiful morning. Its nice to wake up early because life exists instead of sleeping through the day since life is full of fear and unhappiness.

1 The excellent script, acting and direction that made Malcolm X.
2 That when I woke up on the wrong side of the bed, my first instinct was to hit my knees
3 The wonderful newcomer I met tonight
4 Seeing someone with a court card give a share that showed she is actually working the steps
5 A day of cleaning which helped me feel I'm contributing to my household.

After attending a meeting where a third of the room stood up for having less than 30 days, I'm so grateful for being sober.

I'm also extremely grateful for having a roof over my head.

I'm almost done posting on SR for the day, finished reading Just For Today and getting ready to out to a meeting. I'm grateful to have all of these parts of my recovery in my life today.

When someone noticed I left a mess to clean up, I had the food last night to make my mess.
