Grateful - oh so grateful grateful - to wake up this morning and find that I had internet again, after not having it last night for several hours and freaking out about it!

So this morning I woke up and was on-edge (a bit irritable) about my day ahead. Nothing major going on - just lifes day to day challenges, things I have to deal with.
My kids, as usual, were well-rested, laughing, excited about their day ahead.
I did a good job keeping my cool but the kids seemed to know that I was a bit off.
They were looking at me like I was a bit insane.
Hmm...
Grateful for my kids' perspective - nothing is wrong, enjoy the day, have fun... and grateful for "I love you dad" from each of them this morning.

I am grateful for options today.
Not too long ago I used to just wait for things to happen.
I wouldnt make any choices except make a choice to not make any choices .
Today its about being proactive in my recovery health and healing.
I am also grateful for the wonderful stuff ive been reading on this site.

Grateful my sobriety yesterday allowed me the energy and ambition to clean out my garden. Grateful today is supposed to be another warm sunny day. Grateful to wake up sober and healthy with my dogs snuggled up with me on the bed. Grateful I am sober to take proper care of them as their health and happiness is my mission in life.

I am grateful for the warmth, it used to make me scared because I hate wearing short sleeves due to major scaring from IV drug use... Now I only have a little discomfort... I am grateful it is getting better. 84F today...

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
On the upward way, you can have all the strength you need from that Higher Power. You cannot make too many demands on Him for strength. He gives you all the power you need, as long as you are moving along the upward way.
This too shall pass.
Grateful for positive thoughts to start my day. Much more peaceful, stronger, accepting, ready to do my part.
