Morning Gratitude Through the Night Part Nine
I think about this especially when I am doing something to help others - at work, home, meetings...wherever.
The first thought that comes to me is "I'm doing the right thing, the responsible thing." The second thought is "I just couldn't do this if I was still drinking."
Grateful for the right path.

Grateful I have a decent house to live in, in a great neighborhood. Grateful for a van that's in good shape. Grateful for friends and family. Last but not least, grateful for my dogs.
Grateful for a great evening last night. A guy with one month sobriety had asked me to lead an AA meeting that he was chairing last night in a club I had never been to. So many local clubs won't let you chair a meeting unless you have 6 months or more first. The guy really feels important and involved just like it should be. Nobody was telling him to shut up and listen for the first few months here. Isn't this the way it should always be.
So I have seventeen months leading this meeting. There was about 25 people present. Of all the people present over 20 had more sobriety than I did. They treated me like I had thirty years.
Awesome Experience!

grateful to be taking one of my best room buds wife and her friend,
to the airpot this morning...
and grateful to have prayed for a safe journey...
lol, grateful to forget about the takeoff,
the landing was bad enough! hic!
