I went to my usual Saturday afternoon meeting today. I really felt at home, among true friends. After spending so many years trying to fit in, of being someone who I'm not, I now know that I can just be who I am.

I love these people and care about them. I pray they stay safe. I am grateful that they are in my life.

Grateful I was able to comfort my 8 year old niece tonight as she is in the middle
of a bad divorce with her parents

Grateful today is nearly over.....BUT....my discomfort with my feelings means my HP wants me to learn something or change something.
So, I'm grateful for the opportunity to grow...even though it's painful, because that's what we are all doing one day at a time in Recovery

Hey everybody,
Sorry I haven't checked in lately,but I've been pretty busy with my mom and dad.Things are going well though,and I am grateful for being able to take care of them.
I hope you are all doing great.I've got all my shopping done and am taking Christmas week off work.This'll be my fifth clean and sober Christmas in a row.Who'd a thunk it.

its story time for the grat pak...

it was a step 3 meeting

at tonights meeting someone shared its been too long since she was at a meeting, this morning she was all nerved up about the lite sleet, and what it might do to the roads.

and projecting on what the ride to work might bring...

it never got bad at all, and she was happy she made it to work, and said she had turned the ride over to her God of her understaning...

after the meeting, i went outside, and it was snowing!

Hmmm

was it HP telling that women, get your ass to more meetings?

grateful for those no coincidence moments, and grateful for step 3
