Thumbs up Bedtime Gratitude Part 6

My childhood bedtime prayer ...

"Now I lay me down to sleepI
I pray the Lord my soul to keep
If I should die before I wake
I pray the Lord my soul to take"

...I use it still as the beginning
of my nightly prayer ritual

I just got home from an overnight business trip a couple of hours ago. I was sitting in my truck getting my stuff together & I glanced in my rear view mirror. My little 4 year old girl was standing there in the cold, wearing the most colorful sweater, with a smile on her face - waiting patiently for Dad to get out of the truck and give her a hug (had to let her jump in with me). Grateful for daughters & hugs.

Grateful I have strength for a lot of things going on around me today! (I worked for this strength today "Progress not perfection" )

Grateful for my best girlfriend of 27 years! She is a blessing to me!

Oh and something I have not said in a few weeks:

Grateful for all of you in my life!

Now that brought a tear to my eye!

Grateful that I no longer miss the magic of those special moments with my children. Each day with them is filled with gifts and blessings.

Grateful for a big win from my son's Little Leage team last night. Go Cardinals!

phew...... I still feel so inadequate as a mother. I am grateful that I know all I need to do is trust in God and be willing.........

I am grateful for all the help I get..being a single mother for two teenage girls is hard... It might be top 5 of hardest things EVER!!!!!!!

I get more eye rolls then offers of hugs and kisses these days....

My super braniac youngest is FAILING Language Arts... I asked her what was going on and this is what she said with her little hand on her little hip................

She said, "Frankly, I am just a little tired of it all."
