Grateful for a restful weekend at a local resort with GF, her daughter, and new friends. Good food, great people, nice conversation, and hanging out by the pool. Aaaaaahhhhhhh!!
I am grateful that I could get my car repaired today and not worry if I would have enough money in the bank.
And that my mom and dad are doing much better.
Hope you all have a great week.
God bless.

Thank you for the prayers and caring thoughts! Dad should be released today with a cool new piece of equipment in his heart that stops blood clotting.
Grateful for other parents who give their support with sensitive issues concerning children.

Wilson was 90 when I got sober and met him. He had a son who was a junkie and killed himself. He let us do chores/jobs for him when no one else would trust us. He couldn't stand it that we didn't have an air conditioner...... I miss him. He died last year...

Hey, y'all!! Popping in to say howdy.
I am grateful to FINALLY be on medication for diabetes. I've been checking my blood sugar and it's already better. Hurrah!!
Also grateful for my fellow pharmacists at work. We are at full staff now with all four
full-timers being young women, including my immediate supervisor. So things have gotten better there. I hope it means I'll have more time & energy to spend here.
Now...I need some help. I am going to be having arthroscopic surgery on my knee pretty soon and I'm worried. If anyone has any experience or advice about pain control following this type of procedure, I'd really appreciate it. One friend has strongly suggested Suboxone, but I'm afraid it wouldn't be strong enough. Then again, it could be that I just want to get high. Part of me is terrified of relapsing and another part is excited, you know? Please help me out here. Thanks in advance!!
Love and hugs,
Eddie

hi eddie good to hear from you.
I hope the surgery goes well and I don't have any experience except this to offer. Stay strong close to your program and members and do as th Dr's suggest within reason. I tell you this from my own experience in recovery.
I will be thinkng of you.

((Eddie)) Good to see you. I had surgery (shattered my arm) and took painkillers as directed. Everyone around me knew the truth and stayed close. I didn't hold the meds... they were portioned out for me and I was fine. I just stayed honest with myself, the Dr and my sponsor and it was ok... That was the only time I have been prescribed a narcotic in recovery. I needed them, I took them, and then threw the rest away. For everything else that has happened... teeth...geting drug down the street and losing the skin on my leg etc. I have taken 800mg Motrin... I don't have any experience with the type of surgery you are having but I know that if you are spiritually fit and honest with yourself and the Dr and your support group it will all be ok.
