Sometimes, if the phone has gps, it is still a good idea to call 911 as
they can have the phone provider locate the phone if it is on.

Just a thought, as a neighbor had to do that about 4 months ago, all
her AH did was text 'good bye'. They found him, it was again a manip-
ulation ploy.

Hi Laurie, he was sending me message through Facebook so I know he was somewhere near a computer.
To everyone supporting our family, Thank you as I know I am not alone in this nightmare. There is a higher power /plan in place and I must trust in that knowledge.

(((ILMSJJ) Such heartbreaking messages from a son to a mother. I, too, have received so many such as this. You always think this time he really means it. For moms, this is frightening.

I so pray for you and your son and husband as you struggle through this nightmare and pray your son is okay and seeks counsel.

The words on this thread are so beautiful. Oh, my....beautiful, courageous, wise, thoughtful and so understanding. There's nowhere else to go to hear this kind of encouragement and support. I thank God for this thread and for you, dear one. I'm so sorry to read this. I remember towards the end of my boyfriend's using, before he went to detox, he was saying things just like this. He would say that he wants this to end, he doesn't want to live anymore, he's hurt too many people and knows people will be better off if he weren't around. I understand that helpless feeling. But as you know, you can't control it. This is JJ's life. And these choices he's making, they're also JJ's choices.

I pray for your peace of mind.

Thanks everyone. No word from JJ today but I didn't expect to hear from him. This would be the FIRST time I didn't run in and try to save the day since he has gotten out of rehab. He has to choose his path.

Hi, I am fine, it was hard today but I need to keep living and keep praying. My husband is determined to punish JJ when he is found. I cannot change that opinion as even my kids feel the same way. JJ will do TIME when he is found guilty of the burglary and theft.
Though I prefer him to be in jail than on the streets.

Teresa, I can really get you having this state of mind right now. I'm sure that after all that you've been through with your son & now coming to this horrific waiting game, that it is just all way too much to know exactly what to feel. I'm so sorry that you are having to go through this. I still believe that it's going to all turn out to be alright, relatively speaking anyway. Hang in there. We are all here supporting you through this.
