Marian, Addiction is horrible no doubt about it. When there are grandkids grandmas must pick up the pieces. Thankfully you live so close and R so capable. I hate this disease and I hate being a part of it. But this is our life and we carry on to the best of our ability. Maybe your AD will stay away for awhile and let you live w/o all the chaos. Bless you.

(((((Marian))))) I know exactly what you are going through, well, maybe not entirely exactly, but bout as close as you can get. My AS is there too. I just pray, and pray, and pray, and sometimes when I'm too tired to think about it, I fall asleep without praying, but then I wake up praying. I don't have a clue what God's purpose is for our addicts. Maybe they just need to be made stronger through trials and tribulations. My prayers are with you and your family. I am thankful that your grandson is safe with you.

Patch, Just wanted to let you know how sorry I feel for you and your family right now. Thank God the baby is safe with you. She will eventually get tired of her relapse and get clean again. Nothing ever stays the same. I'm praying that during this time she will have enough sense to think of what she is throwing away, and be able to fight back for the welfare of herself and her child.
It sounds like you are more angry than heartbroken.........that's a good thing.
