OT Fiji!
Thank you, Lexie for your summary of the work in Fiji. Every effort counts--every voice counts--though it doesn't always FEEL like it at the time (LOL). I have a signed copy of Gloria's autobiography. At the time, I was in a relationship with a guy who was 11yrs. younger than me--for 4 years. I asked her opinion of my situation--I wondered if the age difference was something that I should be worried about or not?? I should add that older woman/younger man was not very common--like it is now! I should also add that I was probably at my worst at that time in terms of co-dependency issues. "Co-dependency" was not a word that anyone had heard of in the general lingo.
I'm curious---how did you cope for so long without your clothes, etc? Buy new ones??
It is like being lost in the forest.......
Did you remember to use your inside voice?

Awesome Lexie! Spent about 10 days on an Fiji island called Taveuni a few years ago. No commerce- very secluded. Not thread jacking, but wanted to share my 2 favorites- one above water, and one below...
It is nice to hold on to the good memories.

dandylion,
My first husband (kiddos' dad) is married to a woman seventeen years older than he is--eleven years, pffft. (I am two years older than he is--still haven't quite grown up, either.)
I had a couple of camp shirts/pants (the bug-proof kind) in my carry-on, along with having a pair of capris I wore on the plane (and one jacket I also wore on the plane that was soaked with sweat after the first day). I wore jewelry and tied a scarf around my waist to dress up the camp shirt a little bit.
I thought outside the suitcase, IOW.
