Thank you, Lexie for your summary of the work in Fiji. Every effort counts--every voice counts--though it doesn't always FEEL like it at the time (LOL). I have a signed copy of Gloria's autobiography. At the time, I was in a relationship with a guy who was 11yrs. younger than me--for 4 years. I asked her opinion of my situation--I wondered if the age difference was something that I should be worried about or not?? I should add that older woman/younger man was not very common--like it is now! I should also add that I was probably at my worst at that time in terms of co-dependency issues. "Co-dependency" was not a word that anyone had heard of in the general lingo.
I'm curious---how did you cope for so long without your clothes, etc? Buy new ones??
