I have lost many close family member--I found once I had cried all I could-and let the guilt-go it WAS replaced with only the happy memories of that person--you always want to remember the good times[/COlO
R] Sometimes I personally think--yes they sufferred-I did all I could-it wasn't enough-etc..then I turn it around and say---wow the happy times--I am grateful I had them with this person--better thanif I never had them---even if the end was sad----(((HUGS)))

Seeking Wisdom thank you for your beautiful touching post. My heart goes out to you and your family at this terrible time. I am so glad you do have some lovely memories.
Its so so difficult and painful watching the alcoholism sucking the life and soul out of those we love........I currently have a front row seat watching my husband struggle day in day out, but am making plans to change that in order to save myself and my children.
