Female only Alcohol only Rehab Facilities?
Has anyone had any experience finding or attending such a facility? I pray my wife will realize her problem and want to get rehab soon but I want her to be comfortable when researching places. Are there facilities that are for women and alcohol treatment only?
i appreciate that you are looking out for your wife......however we need to be careful not to try and manage and direct what WE think is best for THEIR sobriety.
to the right of this page you will see Find a Facility...with every option you can think of. as far as women's only treatment...out here in Seattle they have a facility called Residence X11 - women only and also 12 step based. I cannot speak for any other locations.

The one my ex went to kept male and female pretty segregated. I think most of the meetings at rehab were same sex only, they had very minimal interaction.
And rehab is going to not be comfortable at all, no matter how you look at it, because they are going to have to confront all their issues and manipulative ways and do it in group settings where people can call them out on their BS (because there will be a lot of BS until they get more insight to themselves).
She will not be looking at rehabs like she is looking for hotels. If your insurance covers any of it that might dictate where she would go, which honestly probably would be best. I would imagine that most addict will find something wrong with each rehab. My ex was told where he was going so that made it easy. Plus not like you are going to have a plethora of places to chose from. I think true inpatient rehabs they aren’t on every corner and probably not in every city even. I know where I live they don’t really have one. Also, if your insurance does not cover it cost will probably becoming a deciding factor as well.
Like I said, my ex was told where he had to go so I don’t know much about how people chose their facility . But cost will likely play a huge part in that decision because it iadnt cheap. Very necessary and worth it if the addict is truly invested in their recovery but not cheap.

When I was exploring rehabs, there was 1 inpatient that fit the bill. They took my insurance and more importantly, had a stand up reputation. I ended up doing outpatient and paying myself, but the biggest thing is she has to want to go and recover.
Comfort is nice, but willingness is crucial.

I have looked up high dollar female only rehab clinics but she won’t go. Now she won’t even talk about it. I know I enable her. Hell I even buy her beer for her because listening to her screaming got so bad and I am terrified she will just drive to the store if it don’t.

My wife and I have discussed it the past. I know our entire family needs therapy because of this.
You mentioned in your original post that she hasn't left the house in two months and that you buy her alcohol for her as you are afraid she will drink and drive.
Have you read around the forum. Knowledge is power. Even addicts who WANT to recover have a real struggle, have you had any indication at all that your wife wants treatment right now? What does she have to say about it?
Yes there are but not in our area. We have 2 male only but no female only. Both times our daughter went we were looking at the quality of the program and an open bed. Gender segregation was not something that bothered us or her.
