Wooohoooooo First on the thread, sooooooo shiny and new.......

Ok so I cant dance...... its a fact!

Had some amazing outcomes with clients today........love it when they seem to be really getting into the grove of their recovery. When they try to heap praise on me for getting them there I'm fast to let them know that I am just walking beside them, they in fact are doing alll the hard work!! Awesome.

Tiiiiiired again...... only 3 years to go!!!! LOL

Instant - Lol! I still wonder what message the universe is sending me when I am on my knees scrubbing the kitchen floor. Is there meaning to be found in those same old cracks and funky design of my aging lineoleum?

Evening Overs,

Dee thanks for our new page.

Congrats on being the 1st to post Manz unless of course Dee is chopped liver?:rotfxko Or maybe that doesn't count as a post after all its just the link right? now I have gotten myself all confused again which these days are not so difficult.

I was just reading on another thread of 2 people who had their entire computer wiped out after posting a video from You Tube OMG that is scary so I thought I would pass that along.

Nigh Night Overs.

I ordered some bike parts and the tools I wil need. It was quite instructive as the job has morphed into fixing my wife's bike problem first. Not quite sure how that happened, but in the process I forgot to order a couple of things I need to fix my bike, related to its main problem a loose bottom bracket. It is the story of my life- my part in it is "forgetting" to put my needs into the picture, and then I can complain there is no room for me!!!

School work and bicycles. The more things change, the more they stay the same. Have a nice day, kids!

Manz,
You will be surprised at how quickly you will be back in the saddle again. As an adult I thoroughly enjoyed college. Because I was there for me not because I had to or it was expected of me. What disappointed me was finding the cavalier attitude of some of the arrogant professors with tenure who said they were not there to teach and if we needed teaching and could not research it ourselves then we should not be in college. Their problem was they were used to post adolescent kids who were there "hat in hand" and looking to them as authority figures during the day. They could treat them any way they wanted and the kids would take it. I and a lot of other students were older non-traditional students and we were the first of the Boomers there to make a big impact. We organized a non traditional student support group. See, the normal students did not like us at all. We studied and did not party so we set the grade curve much higher. The professors were also resentful because we paid our own way and expected our moneys worth. Having a 40 year old nerd trying to intimidate ex military and other adult guys and gals who had the courage to go back to school in their 30's 40's 50's and 60's just was not working for them well any more.

Enjoy it Manz! You earned that right. Non carborundum and all that.

RZ,
remember, every itch has its scratch.

Hah, this is not the first time I have studied as an adult. My last qualification as an Optician I completed at around 30, then 2 years ago I qualified as a tutor of adult literacy. I agree itchy that the willingness and drive of adult learners is far superior. the difference now is that I work almost full time and am a Mum, at the same time as attending the equivalent of full time study in my "spare time'.

I know I have the capabilties, I am just not sure that I have as much stamina now with such a heavy load. When my psychologist asked me today to read an article and do some reflective writing before we meet again next week I think my face said it all.......... where to find the time? If I start to go a bit nuts on here...please please please give me a kind and gentle reality check ok?

Dee...... mid semester break? whats that? Not sure we get them!!

R&A.... ok pops!
