I'm glad you're feeling better, Alpine.

Magsy, I did see all eleven of the gorillas. There have been some glitches trying to settle this new large male in right next to the resident male. Long story - they seemed a little more comfortable yesterday than the week before. Baby steps. Thankfully the zoo has lots of experience with this kind of thing and it's going as well as it can.

The babies are cute as ever and don't seem too affected by the adult issues. As it should be.

On the bus.

Picked up some cedar planks yesterday to build a small outdoor garden tool storage shed. It makes the garage smell great. Makes we want to line the whole garage in cedar. I should make a point of collecting the saw dust. Maybe I can DIY something with it. Suggestions? I wonder if it would go well in a candle.

Off to the beach this morning for a few hours. We wanted to make a point of going sometime during our vacation.

On the bus!

Hugs back ‘atcha, Mags.

Keep up the good work, Alpine; it pays off in spades. We are here for you.

Dragon, I love the smell of cedar, too. We always intended to create a cedar closet on the lower level of our lady home but never got around to it; no lower level here. Send pics of your garden tool shed when it is finished.

Speaking of duct tape; we used duct tape as part of a gypsy moth deterrent process; at the appropriate time each year, we would wrap a single row of duct tape around the trunks (at a level about six feet from the ground) of the small, then-young pin oaks that lined the street; we would then place this sticky, goopy stuff on top of the duct tape. The gypsy moth caterpillars that attempted to climbed the tree couldn’t make it up to the leaves as they got stuck on the gooey tape; it worked really well and prevented the use of those dreaded chemicals.

Love to all the Buskateers.

Cunning use of duct tape Leigh.

Glad you're a tad better Alpine!

Glad the gorillas are OK too, more or less.

Ceder shelves and wardrobes are supposed to be good for clothes, not sure why tbh.

On the bus!

Sao and CK, the process worked really well. The only real downside was the removal of the tape at the end of the gypsy moth season; it was pretty disgusting. Ick.

On the bus! I have to drive to the city today for some appointments. I set three alarms, including my over timer, to make sure I woke up in time. It's a four hour round trip.

On the Soberbus

Ah Bim, a lovely site I imagine. Two gorilla males competing for ‘top dog’ so to speak.

Alpine, pleased you’re feeling better.

Great pics buscateers.

Dragon the beach sounds good how about we all go.

On the bus!

Hoping to finish up some window trim painting today if the weather co-operates. We wanted to change our black porch light to white, so I made a little cardboard paint booth, took the fixture all apart, hung the bits and spray painted. Turned out really well.(IMO)
