I haven't seen that version. He's using the claw hammer technique. I have a banjo uke too but I never play it, actually thinking about selling it.

Some of the strumming is a bit technical, but I probably could with some practice. I couldn't sing it tho, I gave up trying to sing hence my pursuit of finger style playing.

I watched the first episode last week, I'll watch the second one this morning. (It's something I do when on the elliptical).

I didn't know about Kentucky. There is so much going on in the news, it's easy to miss big events like that.

I have some personal stuff going on, I may be missing for a few days. I will not pick up a drink.

I remember a man in an AA meeting (2014) who got sober in 1969, and he still said he wouldn't predict what would happen in the future but that he wouldn't drink today. I'm not sure how I feel about that, I prefer to invoke solid and non-negotiable sobriety.

On the bus!

Thanks Leigh, I never thought of that. She was only 3 so probably doesn't remember but I could always tell her one day.

I am reminded of that banjo duel in the film Deliverance.

On the bus, coffee in hand.

Lost power in the storms overnight, but thankfully back on. Not a time of the year to not have heat.

Happy riding all!

(((Bim))). We have your back.

Love that Deliverance banjo song; the movie scared me half to death, though.

Sober Sunday Blessings, all.

I couldn't finish watching that movie. I read somewhere that the Dueling Banjos are actually a banjo and a guitar. Even the thought of that movie is terrifying. But the Dueling Banjos is pretty cool. Thanks for sharing.
So good to see you all on the bus. I'm on!
Waiting for my mom's Sunday paper before I go out to see her. She's 84 and likes her papers old school. I hope they come soon. I went to the library for her. She is one of the fastest readers I've ever seen and reads a lot. I went to the library for her yesterday and it was like they were wiped out. I couldn't find that much. I hope my other sister brought her some books of her own. She's kind of particular and only likes certain things right now and I think she's read everything in the building! LOL.
My sis who's been helping me has completely disappeared and isn't talking to anyone. She lives 10 minutes from where my mom is and she goes once every week or two to visit. I don't think any of the grandkids have been to see her. The twins are on break from school now. I know my mom would love to see any of them. She's really being and a** hat, but as is her nature, not unexpected. I think she has brain damage from her drinking and drugging for sooo long. Something. Her thought process is not right. I have to remember the Sick Man Prayer. Short and to the point.
Mags, how is your wrist doing? My mom had an awesome roommate who was released yesterday who broke both legs and both arms from a fall. She was there a while, but it was so good to see her walking around and so excited about going home. I hope your phisio is going well.
Anyway, enough about my problems. Sorry. Thank you for being here and support.
Love and peace to everyone esp anyone struggling or suffering in anyway! 💗☮💫💝

Thank you so much, Leigh and Purps. I'm trying to rest a little this afternoon. I still have to do a lot of my mom's, but maybe tomorrow.
They said something about my mom coming home next week, possibly. It seems a little premature. It would be great, but I want her to be safe. I may have to get a GAIT belt the PTs use.
I actually have a lot to do before she comes home. Vacuum, rotate her mattress and re make her bed, get her outfits ready, laundry, pay bills, etc. A lot of stuff my sis said she'd help me with, which she isn't, so I'm on my own. For whatever reason, she's not talking to anyone.
Grateful for some rain again last night.
Thank you so much for your support and kindness. It means a lot to me.

Aly, hang in there. My thoughts are with you and your Mom. I know how hard it can be.

My MIL just offered me a glass of wine. I politely said no thank you

Thank you, Alpine. I know you have your own rough situation going on too. You are so sweet.

Also, Bim, I hope all is well with you. Sending good thoughts to you.

Thank you, Venus for reminding me!
My sister was going to help me, I forgot to factor in that her help has been rescinded.
I think with all the injuries I got trying to get my mom up the stairs on the day she fell with her hip break, I have no business turning a mattress by myself, after thinking about it!
Thanks for the reminder. If I can't get one of my nephews to help, then it will have to remain undone.
Love you! 💗☮💫
