Star when you mentioned the glass shortage for the sauce jars, I had a flashback to a job where they kept running out of bottles to fill the product with....what a nightmare....and it wasn't even a necessary grocery item! Kudos to you all having to deal with that crap

I heard that the cost of shipping a container has skyrocketed too, probably because of the time ships are stuck in port.
Personally, me and the family have been pretty lucky. Thru all the shortages we've managed to get what we need.
I'm proud to say that I didn't even know facebook was down.

On the bus! I have very limited internet access rn. My phone battery won't hold a charge and internet to the property isn't working. A tech is coming tomorrow to hopefully fix the issue. I am going to see if I can find a phone repair place open today. Because we are still in covid lockdown, I am not super hopeful. So if I disappear, it's just because I can't get online (oh the horror!)!

Enjoy your time off the grid Patcha if it comes to that. Once, many years ago I attempted my own phone battery replacement. I ended up accidentally pulling a lead wire off the new battery. It took several hours opening the phone and put everything back again.

On the bus. Dentist day. Oh, joy.
When I was drinking I really feared the dentist due to the pain and anxiety. I used to have to have nitrous oxide gas even to get my teeth cleaned. I haven't had a problem at the dentist with pain or anxiety since about six months sober.

I had a dental appointment a couple of weeks ago so I am in the lucky position of not having another scheduled visit until the end of March.

And yes, most phones can have new batteries installed once you start getting charging issues. Most smartphone batteries last about 2 years. Or, the charging port can fail and that can be replaced too. I try and make my phones last as long as possible because of the ethics involved in sourcing the materials, manufacture etc. If a company came up with a fair trade, slavery free, environmentally friendly phone, I think they would be top of the market. Such a phone would be very expensive though I think.
