So.....I can still get a new battery for my Galaxy S7 that I love....you are a legend Patcha. But you have to send it in to Samsung here.....hmmm.....
Glad you got it sorted.

My father loves his iPhone 4 and won't give it up. He's had it since new and still gets a full day on one charge.

Dragon, that phone was built like a tank. I had a 4S and it was indestructible. It was the phone that made me switch from Android. The role of smart phones have evolved greatly since those days for most people.

Good to know.....since we started chatting about this I checked into it, and there is NO ONE around here willing to do any replacement battery stuff on the S7. It is just too ancient.

On the Soberbus with an old iphone 6plus. Looking to replace/upgrade because WhatsApp are stopping some old phones having access.
(like Suze I don’t like the prices of new phones either)

Mags, I would buy a one or two year old "new" Iphone, especially now that the latest Iphone is out. I bought my daughter an Iphone 11 after her 7 died, and I am sure I could not tell the difference between it and the newest phone in terms of performance. That phone was hundreds off the original price and was the latest and greatest phone in the world a mere 700 days ago. You will notice a world of difference coming from your current phone. I was running a small original SE before my current phone and the differences over a number of years are noticeable. The SE is used as an Ipod, that I plug into my stereo to stream music, because it still has a headphone jack. I am not that sophisticated a photographer to need the latest and greatest. Going with a larger Iphone will give you a bigger battery, and all day charge. I have an XR that is three years old and still holds a charge through the day. Treat yourself!
