That is good news, all the best Ruthie. Take it easy Charon.

Merry Christmas to the pooch who implored me to share my lunch with him in the park today and then, after disinterring it decided he didn't fancy cheese and pickle.

On the bus. Was trying to get my blood pressure machine to work, but it keeps giving me an error message. When I was the ER yesterday, my BP was a high, 159/77 but of course I was super anxious. It's usually OK. I'm waiting for the Public Health nurse to call me. She said she'd call around 9:00 am, but it's 10:15 am now, and still no call. I have to decide whether I want to take the series of Rabies shots. I've done some research that says cat bites don't usually transmit rabies. I'm on heavy duty antibiotics for infection and got a tetanus shot yesterday. I'm 99 percent sure this kitty is not rabid but he's street cat so difficult to monitor for the 10 days (if he doesn't die in 10 days then he's not infectious). I'm leaning towards taking the shots just because of the 1 percent of uncertainty. Hey but I'm not drinking over this.

Sorry about your dilemma, Calicofish. I usually err on the side of caution; better to be safe than sorry. While the odds of the cat having rabies in your area are probably very low, rabies (if contracted) has very dire consequences. You are in my prayers.

With love, I honestly don't think we should advise that darling....this is serious, getting rabies injections.
And with a cat bite, there is virtually no reason to do that.....ask a doctor Calico honey. ssss

Glad that Ruthie’s surgery went well, Charon. Wow, you shoveled two driveways of 30” of snow. Wow.

I hear you, Suze. Calicofish, whatever your doctor advises would be the best advice.

Congrats on the Credits PJ. I didn't know you were going for a Bachelors. How much longer before you get it?

Great photos, Charon.

She doesn’t need shoes and she doesn’t sink. 😊

I had the anti-Tetanus and didn't get a rabies jab when I was bitten by a squirrel (don't ask) the online medical information seemed to suggest it is not usually necessary in smaller mammals, I have forgotten why that is but there is reliable online info out there which should help you decide Calico.

It is pretty in the snow Charon. Ruthie looks determined.
