I had three exta large coffees today. My daily intake seems to increasing. Next thing you know, I'll be hiding a purcolator in the garage.

Part 20. I had my last drink on the 20th. (I truly pray it was my last and final drink.)

I know this place will always hold out their warm and welcoming arms, and I am so grateful for that.

I am not giving up, I won't give up. I have a lifelong extremely addicted brain that somehow I need to fix.

Productive day- fought off a migraine, and had to study a lot to achieve my goals.
Feeling like a failure when new skills are being learned kicked in...and the loop back to my cognitive dysfunction related to the burns incident and thus booze.
SO! HALTS, do something else- go back to study. Stop study when these feelings emerge, HALTS- rinse repeat.
I made progress.

I had a chat with rehab and the manager agrees that I should concentrate on getting better first. However, he is very kindly keeping my file open so I can just return when I feel better without the need for a re-referral.

I remember when I first wrote on SR "I will never drink again and nothing will change my mind". I think I was about three months in and finally accepted that abstenance was my only path. It was a freeing experience. Compare that to several years earlier where quitting drinking was 'forced' upon me. I cried and grieved like I lost dear friend.

Nice enough, the Gold COast- but very commercialised.
I was thinking the Grand Canyon. I am not sure about that glass walk way tho.
The geology is amazing- as are the views.
