Hi. Screwed up badly
Keep talking to us, we've all been there, froscow.
This site is a godsend when you just need to talk or be among your people.
If you keep reading and make a plan for when those thoughts come, you will be able to stay sober. There just has to be some changes - lots of them - in order to keep on the path.
It doesn't get better, we aren't "healed" with sober time. Once a problem drinker, there's no going back to just having one every now and then. It has to be complete abstinence. I hope this is your time.

I'm back. It's been a couple weeks since I posted. I'm on day 9 sober....actually feeling human again. Got back into AA and going to a treatment center later this month. I really need this to stick....there's so much out there I want to experience in life. If I continue trying to handle this addiction myself I'll have no chance of that

The insanity of being an alcoholic...I was on here a few weeks back all remorseful and self pity...and then I drank again. This relapse was so hard to break out of (happened at xmas). If I can do almost 4 months sober, I know I can go the rest of my life. I'm not going to let this ruin me at 25 years old.
Glad to hear you are making a concerted effort to make it last this time Froscow. You indeed have your entire life ahead of you, I really wish I would have made the decision to quit when I was as young as you are now.

Unlike you, I never did what you are doing even though I knew I had a problem. Ignorantly I thought I was bigger/better then that. I was very wrong.
Take this opportunity to nip this before you spend years trying to control it. Cause I let you in on a secret. You can't.
Here's a good thread that's active right now with some great input:

Congrats on Day (?) 10. It keeps getting better in every way and easier. Keep it going. I'm glad you're still here with us. You're doing great!

Glad you're posting on here.
In my experience, people who are not alcoholic cannot understand the alcoholic mindset. That is what is so great about talking to other alcoholics. Your binge drinking and struggling to quit make perfect sense to me.
