Mine is a representation of myself and my battle against my AV, the beast / demon in the background.
I know it will always remain part of me but like a knight I will always remain vigilant to protect my sobriety.
Looks serious and maybe self egoistic, maybe when I find peace I will change it for something lighter. But for now, this is a war for survival for me.

Interesting and fun thread, thanks, Stoogy!
Like many of us, I'll also say I would want to know the story of everyone.
But with full honesty, sometimes even more curious about some specific individuals Don't have the guts and confidence to specify more clearly in public, though.

As someone who has bought a many paintings over the years; I think yours is stunning.
Very interesting thread indeed
I chose mine because I fell in love with the sound of piano, and have been trying the self teach method for a while via the internet until I can get lessons. In fact I am listening to a tutorial on a song I want to learn now as I read this thread lol.

I love reading all these posts from everybody. Gee, I had to change mine this week. The one I had became a "?" .....mmmm..so I chose this new one. Since I'm an active member of AA , I think this is a nice reminder. Bobbi
Mine is an oil painting I did of one of the places we hike with our dogs. I use it because I stopped oil painting not long after I started drinking regularly which was in my late teens. I did not start again until I had been sober for more than 10 years. So I see painting as one of the gifts that sobriety brought back for me.
See the hug, feel the love
Mine is my saving Grace. When I first got sober she helped me keep from losing my mind. I hugged that dog a LOT. I took her to the dog park to make it another hour or to pass time until the next meeting.
She was and continues to be, my saving Grace.

Mine is "Boston Strong"! A year ago I walked to downtown Boston on a beautiful Marathon Day, which is Patriots Day in Boston, to the Marathon finish line. Five minutes before the bombs went off, my daughter said she was tired and wanted to go home. We were at the finish line watching the best of the marathon, the regular folks running for charities and such! We walked two blocks over and heard the bombs! I saw the police officers look around and unholster their guns. The looks on their faces told it all. We've been attacked, but no matter what, we are Boston Strong. I love my city. We are one.

I just love seeing everyone's avatars! I post from my Kindle and have no idea how to change mine. So mine will just be this bird. But he or she does look alert, alive, and a bit curious! Plus she has an awfully cute hairdo!
