Why that Avitar?
I don't remember what I googled, because I was in the throes of PAWS at the time, but it was related to my name double barrel, which obviously has a double meaning as well.
In the image search, that dude
<----- popped up.
The pic looked scarily similar to one my friend snapped of me, shortly after I had dispatched a problematic rooster with a hatchet.
I have thought that I should change it, because it's not what I look like anymore thankfully.
But it reminds me of where I came from.

The Motherland calls.
Mamayev Monument, in Volgograd Russia(was know as Stalingrad in ww2).
The single most wretched battle ever(rat's war) cellar to cellar floor to floor. The depravity of mankind.
I promised her to stay sober 8 winters ago in honor of all who fell.
What a trip, I'll let you know when it ends.

Grumpy cat because she is the ultimate uncodependent, has boundaries of steel and does not care a fig about pleasing people. Basically the antithesis of me prior to recovery. Plus she is adorable.
I change her regularly. The "No We Can't" is a double reminder for me: as an alcoholic I cannot pick up the first drink and as a codie I cannot stop my loved ones from destroying themselves.
No is one of the most useful word in the English language that I got to learn late in life.

I love flowers and especially the meanings given to them.
White Tulips are for forgiveness. One of the hardest - if not the hardest part of becoming sober was forgiving myself for all the carnage I let alcohol do to a pretty fantastic life.

Mine changes with my moods, but I stick with the zero theme, so there is always something round if not an obvious zero.
If you're looking at the sun at the end of a highway, I chose it because I felt a sense of journey toward a sunset. I was exhausted at the time.
Now on the upswing, I'm thinking it's a sunrise in the rearview mirror.
This PAWS thing keeps me rolling, so this avatar has dual meaning for me.
I like that. It is what it is.

Hope you all are having a safe and sober weekend.
