Thumbs up

11,834 days here. Man, I'm always feeling grateful how each of those days have added up to my enjoying the successful and happy life I have today. In some of those days I have had some serious challenges to meet and overcome and it goes without saying such victories add season and taste to my life. It's never boring, lol. I'm feeling the love!

Things really do get better after we quit if we'll only stay the course thru thick and thin and keep ourselves responsible and open-minded to change as needed and when needed. Timing is everything, imo. When opportunities present we do best by reaching out and making something of a better life for ourselves. Each day is a day filled with real wonder and keeping sober empowers each of us no matter our own longevity to make the most of who we are, and who we really want to be for the rest of our lives.

Cheers!

I have 512 days. And yes I am a counter because each day I make another day sober means I am making some kind of progress. And darn it! I earned each of those days, they are not always easy by an means.

And if a person doesn't count their days, then that is okay too in my books. You do whatever works for you.

Yesterday was 250 days no alcohol for me. Today is 251, but I always like those nice round numbers better.

I'm 53,and this is the longest I have been sober since I was 15.
1,734 days sober.
I quit smoking on my birthday in September of 1999. I had no plans beforehand to quit smoking that day. It just happened.

MountainmanBob, your post is inspiring.
The AA big book app has me at 992 days sober. I drank for 24 years. I quit smoking cigarettes on the same day I quit drinking. These have been some of the best 992 days of my life!!! I thank God for his mercy, grace and deliverance.

Everyone on this thread are such an inspiration. Keep it up!
You are proof it can be done.

I got three days logged. Jeez.
Do you all remember your third day?

Peace!

Yep, I remember my Day 3 too. Without it, I wouldn't be at 1642 days today

1130 days

I give a lot of credit and thanks to everyone here at SR, and to Dee especially. Sometimes I tune back in just to feel the certainty he radiates.

My usual answer is when I got up today, but I got curious and figure about 12,767 days in total and as they say one day at a time. I never thought I'd see 3 months because of all my relapses. Very grateful.

BE WELL

I honestly don't really count sober days. In my mind, I turned into a non-drinker and non-alcoholic the minute I decided that I will no longer drink, and so far (thankfully) it's turned out to be reality.
