Maybe if you have lived through addiction you are more open minded about the supernatural.. .I saw a lot of spooky stuff when I was drunk....lol

If someone will come up with a good spooky name I will start a section down In the user group section....

CT is small but not that small....lol I am on the water down near NYC...and there is a lot of old spooky stuff here....I would think there would be more in europe though!

I do love the spookiness of all hallows eve. Yet I've been the spook myself from time to time. So the thrill has lost it punch having been on both sides of the deal.

When I was very little my dad used to take us on Sunday drives to Pier Point Landing - do you remember that? There was a whale on display there with big brushes in it's mouth to look like teeth? or was that a dream?

Are you being profound to chase away the spookiness?

No I don't remember that...but it sounds cool. I had friends that worked on the tuna boats on Terminal Island. Where the canneries there. We used to eat tuna by the pound. Gads those fish were huge and then we would roll about at he port looking for ...trouble I guess. because we always found it.

LaFemme is in deed a creative soul. Always a pleasure to read her post...many times deeply insightful yet practical. And her art is cool to boot.

My dad worked in NYC so we must have been near you....somewhere. Legend has it that the old man who lived in the October house died in the month of October and his wife threw his body down that well and now he haunts the place. My brother used to tell me that the October man was going to get me. mean brother

Thanks my friends:-)

Nacona....your brother was very mean!

I will have to ponder a title for our spooky thread....I am about to crash....maybe it will come to me in my sleep....right now I can only think of "the haunted bar" which is lame...lol.

One of the reasons I love the Wyeth family as artists Alison they really capture that new England magical realism thing...I miss Andy Wyeth

Yikes...all my sisters had moved on basically, being 11 years apart from the youngest. So I missed all that sibling fright mongering. I do have a clear memory of being terrorized my my sisters boyfriend. But that crap was real. How interesting it is to scream at the top of ones lungs and have none come to your rescue.

But not a bummer now...know and grow to move on.
