24 hour NO nicotine/smoking club part 7
That is so true alysheba! DG the amount you saved is staggering!! And gettingsmarter $300 this month is amazing! Just think what you could do with that extra money? If you saved it you could go on one hell of a trip or invest it in a property or business? The ideas are endless....plus you will be around much longer to spend out! Lol
l feel somewhat cheated when I do my calculations because I didn't spend too much on my nicoddiction. Just $20 per week to drive to the reservation and buy my bag of loosies. I guess that adds up to $80 or $100 per month. My savings is in my health and time I will spend alive!
Anyway congrats to everyone! Brain awesome start! How does it feel being a nonsmoker?

LBrain, stick with it you are right in the middle of hell week , it does get better. I kept telling myself during the first week to just get through it and that way I d never have to feel like that again! Eat sweets, ice cream anything to get through it!
Day 31 for me now and still feeling strong!

it took me a while to find this thread - had to look through my old posts to find it...
I'm on day 7 - just finished munching on a few stalks of celery... I am still experiencing strong urge to run to store for a tin... almost like being held underwater and waiting to coming up for air - that's what it feels like to me... I know I have to stick it out. I told the wife last night that it would be a tremendous relief just to stick some chew in my mouth - that rush...

Maxis you can do this! I was stuck without cigs too! Couldn't go even if I had wanted too. I found that helped me a lot! Because I couldn't even toy with the idea of running out and getting some.
Brian you are right on the cusp! Don't give in now! I was so close to giving in when suddenly it all changed and I quit having those relentless cravings. Like they say here.."Hell week" was over! The cravings are reduced to hardly nothing! I'm at 2 weeks in and I hardly get cravings now. That first week...HELL YEAH!!!! So my advice to you is get through that first week! Any way you can! If it's necessary to eat candy or other sweets....then go for it! Don't worry about getting fat! Just don't use any tobacco product. You will be surprised with how easy it is after that first week! At least that has been my experience!

made it one week. I still have a strong urge to get some - no not that!
Well yeah... but she is sleeping after night work.
I just had that 'shudder' again thinking about getting a dip in my face. I'm getting the shakes thinking about it now. Mind off it and keep going. It is very difficult...
