1) Alcohol took everything and everyone I ever had or was.

2) How did I get it back? I gave up. I quit fighting Alcohol, I got out of the ring with an opponent that I could NEVER win against. I admitted I was powerless against Alcohol and that my life had become unmanageable.

Drinking Alcohol blurred my judgment, I was unable to understand the damage I was doing, risks I was taking. Drinking alcohol took away my emotional clarity, knowledge of myself and understanding of the motivation of people around me. Drinking Alcohol made it too easy to lie to myself and others. I drank too much of it, for too long.

I have stopped drinking it and I will never drink it again. It feels good.
