Have a safe and enjoyable trip RunnerF. Are you driving 1400 miles to get to Florida? If so, that is quite a journey. How long will it take to drive there?

Runner, growing up my family used to do that drive from the NE to the SE of Florida. I believe it was 1700 miles. Gosh, Florida is such a long state.

Definitely! Takes me 5 hours to get to Pensacola and 6 hours to Miami, not that I go to either very often. Driving to Key West is like an epic journey.

I'll waive as you go by.

I do tell everyone to drive safety as so many people on the highway seem to have some sort of death wish.

Safe journey Runner. Seems a long long way to drive, speaking from a smallish country like England.

Hi everyone! Runner I hope you have a safe trip today and tomorrow I guess since you are covering so much territory.
Mags I hope your chest infection is all cleared up. Glad the cats are settled.
Must get back to work! Hope everyone's week is going well so far.

It is a long way to drive - it's a longer distance than driving from London to Rome!

Ugh….I’ve driven to Key West twice from the gulf coast and all I could think of is “How do they evacuate during hurricane season”?….it does take forever….

I’ll wave too!

End of Day 436 - Ran 7.2 kms in an hour. Had a nice dinner and feel relaxed ready to go to bed. Good night from Seattle.

Oh Dee, I love your new avatar! Australia Day is beautifully depicted.

I'm tired and have nothing better to do so am going to snuggle with Billie and call it a night.

Good Morning Weekenders

Congratulations on 436 calmself.

Goodnight least and Billie

Dee have an enjoyable Australia’s Day.

One of my cats has took to laying on the top of my chair back. She seems comfy enough. They don’t half find strange places to sleep.

Hope everyone is doing ok. Shout out if not.

Well I laid in bed for an hour, not sleeping, cause I was itching so bad. . I'm tired of this making it impossible to sleep. . I am so tired and want to lie down but the prickling of my skin won't let me relax. . I was hoping to have an appt with the allergist by now but don't know when I'll be able to see them. This is affecting my daily activities of living, making me uncomfortable all the time. . sigh...

Well, at least I'm not drinking. That would make things a thousand times worse.

Sorry for your struggles Least. Hang in there.

Pledging for today. Day 115. Missed pledge yesterday due to travel but was sober. Arrive in Florida later today. Always party time so will need all tools to remain sober. Best to all today.

Quick check in. Thanks for all your kind thoughts. Least hope you get some relief. Alpine I also hope those speed bumps are gentle.

Made it to Florida safe and sound. Now to stay sober and committed. I have to as no other choice.

Best to all.

Carlotta mentioned something in your sciatica thread that keeps bouncing around in my head. I cannot remember if you have been checked for diabetes, and I think it is really important to do that as soon as possible. s ❤️

Runnerf, we're hip to it now and drinking has nothing for us any more. You can feel pity for those who are drinking as you think about how ridiculous it makes them look and the hangover and regret that lies in store.

Mags, I suppose the top of a chair back is as good a place as any for a cat to sleep.

There is a rain front pushing through this evening. Very breezy at the moment. Another few days of cold the rest of this week. Need to get some more wood chopped.

I don't feel that way at all, dear CB. In fact, I feel no animosity for anyone (who is not an alcoholic) who wants to have a drink—not everyone has a problem limiting their alcohol, so I say live and let live. s ❤️

Feeling animosity made me feel angry and isolated, which made me feel "less than," which made me feel ashamed, which led me to not care about myself, which led me back to the bottle.
