We could write a book - WEEKENDERS 06 - 09 January 2023
Welcome to the Weekenders
If I were to write a book many of my pages would be sealed. They would be ‘before booze’ life. Some parts are best forgotten.
Similar to the rear view window.
What would be revealed though are many many empty pages, waiting for words to be adorned on them.
This is my ‘after booze’ life. I realise I can choose the words to be written to some extent.
This can be a marvellous part of my book, full of hope for what lies ahead.
I realise we can’t chose everything in life but choosing sobriety gives us an opportunity to re-write our days ahead to enjoy our lives the best we can.
If this is your first weekend sober, or many, come join us for support and chat...as we know the weekends can be a struggle sometimes.
(Psst. We’re not just here to talk about the good stuff, if you’re struggling.....shout out).
(We’re here all week too!)

Was in bed and pulled the blanket up over me and it felt wet! . Turned on the light and there was a big damp spot on the sheet and several damp spots on the blanket. It's not dog pee, don't know what it is. I put the fan in the bedroom on the table and turned it on to try to dry the sheet and blanket so I can go back to bed.
Thanks Mags….I would love to write a book! I admire those who do….I can’t seem to sit still long enough without getting caught scrolling down the internet rabbit hole…..maybe a good New Year’s resolution for me to work on.….
(((Least))) Sorry you’re having such a rough time….
In for the weekend

Least, could Billie have been licking her paw or something? Our sweetiepie does that sometimes and makes little wet spots.
Despite my posts sometimes being long, I'm too much of what my communications teacher called "a bare bones writer" to be able to write a book. It would be more of a short story. It would definitely be separated into before quitting and after quitting though.

Mags. Thanks for the thought provoking intro. Always seems to hit the spot. I too think of life as a book. Some great and happy chapters some downright abysmal. Now that I have decided to not drink again I am hopeful that I can write more of the former and less of the latter going forward.
In for this weekend.
Least, Hope you feel better and gat some sleep.
