After the home health nurse comes and changes my dressing, I'm going back to bed.

Feeling a bit better. My PT came today and walked me thru some exercises. Then the nurse came and changed the dressing. The wound has gotten a lot smaller as it heals. It's about one third the size it was originally.

My PT had ordered me a rollator walker and it came today. I managed to get it out of the box and put it together. At least, I think I put it together right.

Still tired from broken sleep last night and am going back to bed shortly.

Thank you Mags. I really liked that. And it is so true. Signing up for this weekend sober.

More broken sleep. Slept a few hours then woke up. Took the big walker box to the trash/recycle room but the chute wasn't open so left it there.

When I woke up I was too cold so turned on the heat. Then was too hot so turned it off again. Can't regulate my body temp.

At least I have Billie next to me to keep my stomach warm.

Good Morning Weekenders

Least maybe a hot water bottle against your stomach might help.

Sun’s coming up. Looks to be a nice day on the horizon.

Have a good ‘sober’ day! xxxx

Good morning Weekenders

Mags, it is indeed a lovely day outside although it's a bit windy. At least my washing is drying nicely, as long as it stays on the washing line!

least, I hope you can get a good sleep soon

I'm IN! Thanks, Mags.

Meant to check in yesterday, but got super busy at work. I'm just mentally and physically exhausted. We've had a ton of snow here lately and I'm sick of moving it around. Just when I get my driveway and sidewalks cleared, we get more snow. And it's the wet heavy kind, so the snowplows kicks these boulder-sized chunks of "white concrete," as we call it, into my driveway. It's hard for the snow blower to get through, so I end up shoveling a lot of it. Ugh. Work continues to be difficult and frustrating. The bright spot has been having my daughter home for the past two weeks, but she leaves tomorrow. That has also created extra work for me (making meals, helping her clear out her childhood bedroom, other activities). It's not a problem, per se, I love doing it, but it's just more on my plate.

SO, I leave for a week of hiking in Arizona next Thursday, and while I wish the man friend was going with me, I'm looking forward to warmer weather, no snow for a week, hiking and sightseeing in the Sedona area. Will be a nice break, if I can keep myself from worrying about work the whole time.

Enjoy your holiday MLD. Sedona looks wonderful. I remember someone at SR mentioning Sedona a few years ago, in my early days here at SR, and I looked up some pictures and remember being amazed by the beautiful red rock scenery.

Thanks, everyone. I know my way around there now, having just been there a year ago. I loved it so much that I decided right when I got back to do it again this year. I'll do some different hikes, a couple of the same ones, and I'm taking a day to drive up to the Grand Canyon, too. Super excited about that. I haven't been there in over 30 years and that was a very short visit on the way from California to Texas (we were moving from one military base to another and really only stopped to look and then kept driving). The first time I was there I was five, and I am sure we didn't stay long that time, either. That was a road trip from Florida to California. I should have several hours there this time.

Finally got back to sleep and woke up at 9. After my grocery order is delivered and put away I'm going back to bed for a while. Still not feeling 100%.
