Failed won't come; back
This forum is for everyone who quits, struggles to quit, relapses, and on and on and on......
I dont think you should give up on yourself. Keep fighting the good fight and never give up on quitting.
You can do this, Lila.

Lila - Most of us have felt that way. I sure did when I first came here. I hung around, reading & posting, until I was finally ready. I now have 14 yrs. sober. So I know you can do this. Don't leave!
There are many lessons in life to learn, some harder than
others, but necessary to learn anyway.
Recovery from addiction does take work and time and
is absolutely achievable. Just look at the many who have
done and continue the work on a daily basis to get it.
The knowledge and lessons we learned in school has
helped us thru out our years after graduation. What we
learn from addiction and recovery helps us achieve health,
serenity, and many of life's blessings.
Support from others with the same problem using a
common solution to achieve continuous sobriety is the
goal.
No one has to go thru this process by themselves.
Continue to read and ask questions of how folks are
achieving sobriety each day. Be responsible for your
own recovery and put your addiction to rest once and
for all.

You don't need to say sorry Lila. Disappointments are felt by us all and normally they are in ourselves and the choices we have made.
I remember this feeling while i sat in a hole not knowing a way out, seeing a glimmer of light and not having the strength to go after it. With the right help and finding the right way forward you can make it.
Believe me i had so many day 1s if i added them together it would have made up quite a good number. Please stay here and keep sharing and posting and getting the great advice like i did.

Lila, when you say pain, is it physical, emotional pain?
Since I'm not familiar with your story, can you share with
us where you are in your recovery? How long have you
been sober/clean?
When you say you can't deal with this anymore, what
is it that you can't deal with in your life so that we can better
understand what you are going thru.

Hi Lila. While everyone’s story is unique we all understand the pain of addiction. There are many other types of pain and many of us have experienced those pains as well. I’m glad you’re still reading and you posted. I hope you stay. SR is a wonderful community of caring people who want to help if you let them.
